  1. I'd prefer him going in the wrong direction like before he got the moped though.
  2. Still trying to decide if it was a good thing or a bad thing that this game was only broadcast on Facebook. Since I'm a social media hermit, I tend to lean towards good thing.
  3. I tend to agree with you. However similar to what you mentioned, I'm also tired of this team missing opportunities to sell high. This is a prime time to change that. Dangle him and see who comes nibbling. Don't like what you see, keep him.
  4. I'd certainly dangle him if nothing else. You don't have to deal him if you don't get an offer you like. Now would be the optimal time to deal him though. It would help with the perceived logjam for next season as well.
  5. I believe that they inflate the concession prices a bit for concerts (I noticed it too), but you're correct in that they're inflated to begin with. Concessions and ticket prices keep rising, but attendance and the quality of the on field product are going in the opposite direction. The Eagles may have been the best thing I've seen on that field this year.
  6. I feel like I've seen this in the team at other points in the season, but this series was not one of them. This was a pretty ugly series regardless of what team your affiliated with.
  7. Struggled to contain the Cubs offense in the series finale? So they contained it in the first two games?
  8. While I agree, he could have used Rodney. It's not like he needs the rest or is really in danger of wearing down from overuse.
  9. This team is entertaining in that you never really have any idea as to how they will screw it up. By entertaining, I mean infuriating.
  10. That might be offensive too though. It's unnecessary to swing so hard.
  11. If I were Maddon, I'd be very tempted to run all over the bases. ...By stealing them, not stringing together 8 hits an inning.
  12. How many times have the Cubs batted around in an inning in this series? This is ridiculous.
  13. Would it not have made more sense to move Adrianza to CF, Astudillo to 3B and Escobar to SS? Brutal outfield right. Tough conditios no doubt, but it's kinda odd.
  14. I think a more appropriate comparison would be district/regional manager to Molitor's store manager. He's in charge of the players, the FO is supposed to give him what he needs. I don't disagree that the FO has fallen short in areas, but the things that Molitor is in control of are lacking in my view.
  15. This is a reasonable point. Special assistant is pretty vague unless accompanied by what they're assisting with. My understanding is that they're just former players that help wherever they're needed and are available to current players to ask questions or work with them. Kepler has been working with Morneau on how to hit lefties, for instance.
  16. Nope, but if the guy with that responsibility isn't getting the job done, it's on the manager to either help or find someone that can. Either way, that isn't happening. Considering the fact the fundamentals were a strong suit of Molitors game, it stands to reason that he should be able to instill them in his players. I don't see that happening at all.
  17. Can't pitch yourself into a save situation either.
  18. You can qualify for a save if you enter the game with the potential tying run on base, at the plate or on deck. Also, if you enter the game with no more than a 3 run lead and pitch at least one inning or pitch the at least last three innings of a game. It's not the easiest rule in the book to know.
