  1. That can be fun though. Not something I want to do all of the time, but fun every so often. Makes pairing wine interesting, that is for sure.
  2. You're really not helping with the fact that I'm still hungry either, Mike! That sounds delicious though. I believe that we're having some toasted Italian sausage and cheese sandwiches to go along with a ton of leftover side dishes that we have from a family get together that we hosted over the weekend. All of the accompanying entrees are gone, so we're improvising a bit with what we have left over. So tonight could be interesting!
  3. You're not making me feel better about my lunch decision, Mike!
  4. Tempting, but then I'd have to go get a bagel too. My laziness driven by how sleepy I am inhibits my decision making more than I'd like to admit at the moment. First world problems...
  5. That sounds aboot right there partner...
  6. I'm in the same boat. Don't mind rabbit food, but it's not sustaining enough. I'm also dead tired, so the burning question of my afternoon revolves around a can of Dr. Pepper or do I expend the effort to make a pot of coffee. Unless I eat the can or coffee grounds, neither solves the problem of my lingering hunger.
  7. Concur. That's the only correct answer, isn't it?
  8. I get that. Perhaps the flaw in my logic is that starters don't go all that deep anymore anyway, rendering my concern moot in the first place. But that's why I'm interested to see how it plays out over a larger sample to see what sort of impact it has one way or another.
  9. Right, that was the point I was trying to make. That third time now occurs in the 7th rather than the 5th. Assuming my starter gets that far in either scenario, I'd rather that occur in the 5th where I have more margin for error and more time to come back should my squad be behind. That is the reason that I'd like to see how that plays out over a larger sample though. How much impact does that really have either way?
  10. That's the interesting part of this to me. To me, that would seem to push the toughest outs for a starter deeper into the game. That 3rd time through the order is where starters really start getting hurt. My personal taste would be to have that happen as early in the game as possible so that I'd be able to comeback if needed. Pushing that point an inning or two deeper into the game would be counter intuitive in my mind. Even still, I'd be interested to see how it played out in wider spread use. I also have no real problem experimenting with it in the minors.
  11. Very versatile. He can start his own or occasionally put one out! Now I see why he's here!
  12. I see what you did wrong. You told her that you liked another woman!
  13. That would mean that I could shred this missing persons report that I just finished...
  14. "I don't want to talk about it..." Perfectly stated. Also, I wonder what sort of mad skills Magill has perfected under the close and watchful mentoring eyes of leader Matt Belisle. I mean, it would be nice to see some of these leadership qualities pay off on the mound, no?
  15. I don't think anyone is celebrating. Accepting the fate of the team doesn't have to mean that people are happy for any of this. I'm happy to have some clarity on the season, but I'm in no way happy that it's another failed season. It doesn't mean that I don't want to watch meaningful baseball. It doesn't mean that I don't care whether they win or lose. But pretending this team is something that it is not doesn't help anything.
  16. I can vouch for the sighting. I saw him too!
  17. Another toss that almost went into CF... Tough pitches both times, I'll grant him that though.
  18. I'm not sure this game was long enough to start with, so I'm glad that it'll be decided for sure now.
