    It's difficult to lose 100+ games. I don't think the Twins can do it two years in a row.

    When he was 12 his team played in a national tournament in Cooperstown. My son's team was in the tournament too. He was a nice kid. He was a catcher then like his dad.

    Is it just me or anyone have a problem with the energy advertisement? It keeps hijacking my browser. Every 24 seconds it replays and takes me to the top of the page. The result is that I can't read the comments.

    Why make such a negative post? Nunez does have the third highest avg. in the AL for SS this year. I won't get into the others but saying Nunez is the second worst Twins All Star is bunk.

    Looks like the Twins are out the dough regardless what they do. Nobody else is going to pick up that tab.

    This is the best money post I have ever read. Most commenters seem to think that assembling a roster is kind of like going to the grocery store. Just grab a cart and check your list then head for the shelves. Lights out relievers on aisle B, top shelf on the left. Everybody knows better but we can't seem to help ourselves. I've been reading these blogs since the bat-girl days so I'm not a rookie. Terrific payroll post Bill.

    Projections are fun to read in the off season. I don't pay much attention to them though. I pay attention to the W-L column which is 0-0 right now.

    Yes, it could make difference. However I think service time is given way to much attention. Winning now is the goal. That's what fills the seats. I really don't believe that the Twins micromanage their players' service time at the risk of missing the playoffs.
