    I am disappointed, but not depressed. We have a young team, the home plate ump hurt us, there were some questionable managerial decisions, and the defense was worse than usual Overall, we had a bad night. But I think we can win tomorrow. And I think that our younger players are gaining valuable experience.

    You beat me to this. With the sound off it's almost like being in the stands -- no annoying announcers.

    Lots of talk about the announcers tonight. I live in California and am accustomed to enduring the opposing team's announcers about 50% of the time. I have learned that the mute button on my TV can help a lot.

    I admire Gibson for pitching through adversity this year. I think that he is literally pitching his guts out tonight. Sadly, his stuff is just not as good as it used to be.

    Watching this on gamecast and it appears that the ump is making some bad calls on strikes thrown by Berrios.

    This article makes me even more hopeful that this year's Twins can be a dream team. It sounds like they are having fun, which allows them to play loose.

    I have read that the Three Mile Island plant is closing, that the cleanup cost will be in the range of $1.2 billion and that the decommissioning process will take around 60 years. https://www.cnn.com/2019/09/19/us/nuclear-three-mile-island-closing/index.html I am hopeful that Thorium reactors or some other cutting edge reactors may provide a much more cost efficient solution for dealing with existing facilities by using what is now "waste" to create clean power. I wonder how Thorium stacks up against other options to recycle existing nuclear waste.
