  1. I once was in row 2, just to the left of the dugout, near the on deck batter’s circle
  2. So, you advocate hoping for injury to get AK up here now? I know that’s not exactly what you are saying, but I don’t think finding room is really that difficult, without injury, and shouldn’t be. However, barring injury, he’s not going to be recalled until the 10 days runs out. (May 9, 10?) Given that, I think Farmer will be up first. They need to send Miranda down for a reset. And when AK is ready, they need to send down Larnach. Those are the choices and they are not difficult, imo.
  3. Since AK was recently optioned, they can’t recall him for 10 days, unless there is an injury. So, if anyone wants him up right now, the only way that happens is through injury. I’m not wishing for that, but I do hope that on May 10 he is activated, for anyone. There are choices that are not difficult to make. For Larnach makes the most sense, but I also like IT’s suggestion of Miranda, provided Farmer is already up. But I think, barring injury, Farmer returns first.
  4. BOTH teams had to play in 30-degree weather, not just one; and BOTH teams will play in warm weather. Not sure why the weather is only a consideration for how poorly the Astros did and why you are certain the nicer weather won't benefit us? My philosophy is ... don't count your dead chickens until they are hatched. All teams go through ups and downs during a long season. While I don't think the Twins are a great team, neither do I think they suck, as what many here imply. I think they are modestly good, maybe just decent ... but players HAVE TO PERFORM. It's up to them at this point. The potential is there, but they need to execute ... and for me, that is not a fault of anyone but them. The BP, however, I think is on the FO. And that's not saying I think Rocco is without fault, I just think results are in the hands of the players 95% of the time.
  5. Many here have had concerns about the BP from the beginning. Happy, maybe even hopeful, for some of the early success, but, when you do little in the off-season on an obvious weakness, and say you are doing nothing, well, some here, including myself, have had concerns. Keeping my fingers crossed, because of course I want a good outcome, but ...
  6. People often ask 'Why keep watching this?' Well, it's a choice to watch or not, so if you don't like it, don't waste your time. But my real answer is that because on any given day your chances of seeing something you haven't before is pretty high. Also, on any given day, the best player/team can be the worst, and the worst can be the best. As you said, bad teams do win some games against someone and good teams do lose against someone. It's how the cookie crumbles. I just accept the wins and losses as they come because in the end, no one died and it really matters not much in the whole grand scheme because it's just a game. Doesn't mean I don't want to win them all and it doesn't mean I don't hate losing to the White Sox, I just have my own perspective on things.
  7. Yes. It’s how the cookie crumbles, and yes, it’s frustrating, but so it goes,
  8. Don’t like losing to teams like this. I know it happens but … just shouldn’t happen. The bats and the BP. While I do believe the team is much improved over last year, this just isn’t good. Players need to come through
  9. How soon before Farmer is ready and activated?
  10. Still don’t get why it’s so difficult to just be happy for him
  11. Rooker wasn’t playing like that over a year ago when he was traded. And he didn’t produce like that last year. So there was ‘no making room for him’ because this isn’t what he was here. That wasn’t even my point, My point was I’m happy for him. While no, what he’s doing now isn’t likely sustainable, but I do hope he’s unlocked something and it leads to a good career for him. Guess others can’t be so magnanimous about it.
  12. I mean, we could just do away with sports because they are injury risks. And while I have high hopes for López, I’m not ready to call him our ace. It was absolutely the correct move to send him out for the 6th. We could debate the 7th, but I’d have still sent him out there, too. Geez, it’s bad to pull starters after 4 or 5 and now it’s bad to send them out for a 6th? I don’t get the logic here.
  13. It wasn’t pretty, but last year we’d have had Pagan pitching in that situation and we’d have lost. However ugly the win, it was a win and I call it progress from the previous year.
  14. My apologies. I didn’t realize you were a medical doctor with an expertise in this field of medicine. Are you heezy’s intern?
  15. Please stick to the topic. If you want to talk about Taylor, Buxton, Gordon, and anyone not related to Kepler, please start your own thread
  16. Nitpick: the wrist is a joint involving forearm bones connecting to the hand, so it isn't incorrect to call it wrist surgery. It was the wrist area that was affected and the 'cure' was to cut out part of the forearm bone near the joint.
  17. I think Gallo is a talented player, that as he gets more reps at first, he will be as good as anyone there. I've been very impressed by his play there so far this year. However, he IS an OFer, and when AK comes back, I'm assuming we see more of him in the OF. Although AK plays both positions, too. There will probably be a lot of mix and match for both of them, especially if both are hitting.
  18. I like seeing 'our' guys succeed elsewhere. There was no room here for Rooker here, but I'm really happy for him that something 'clicked' and I hope it carries through the season and he has a good career.
  19. And Winder is up ... I assume in a long relief role ...
