I just really, really dislike this move. Disliked the signing, dislike that he's starting on the MLB club ... DISLIKE!!!!

Check out today' game thread: http://twinsdaily.com/topic/26752-game-thread-twins-astros-715-710-ct/

And behind every good writer is an even better editor. However, I will admit that I really don't need to edit all that much, just the commas and the occasional buntings.

Good. Then I'm doing it right. If you want to breathe again, sign up to do a game thread.

Concur. And that said ... we have a few dates in July ready for the claiming! Come on, threaders! You know who you are ... just do it! And August is almost all open. Just do it!

I think it might take Falvey/Levine some time to put it together. It's not knowing what they have, it's realizing what they don't have, and what more they don't have to get what they need. I continue to remain neutral in my 'hope for the best, prepare for the worst' state of mind ... que sera sera.

I actually think playing them both in July is a good thing and perfect timing. It will be telling one way or another, but likely just one way. Gives us enough time to make some decisions and hopefully a transaction or two or few to follow.

August 21st is a double header at guaranteed rate field between the White Sox and the Twins. That's where I'll be, day 1 of 28 days of vacation.
  9. Squirrel
Yeah ... I wonder if he had stayed, where he'd be, in our rotation, bp, not sure. And I also wonder, would Falvey and Levine have traded him? I rather doubt it, but who knows. It just seems odd to me to be talking about Myer in the same conversation with our current FO, and what they have or haven't done to address our needs. I get that there are issues we felt were left unaddressed this off-season, but I don't really see the correlation to Myer in that conversation at all since he was gone before they were even on the scene. I just think it's a different conversation completely, maybe with an ounce of overlap, but a truly different conversation from discussing where Alex Myer is now.
  10. Squirrel
Yes, that's fine. But Myer is a separate issue, as this FO (Falvey and Levine) weren't the ones who traded him. I understand the lament about the starting pitching and what wasn't and was addressed over this past off season, but Myer was not part of any decisions our current FO made.

Following the PRICE protocol. And I can still shoe shop online. Yes, and garbage television. Always good combinations.
  12. Squirrel
Sigh. I think I'll buy some shoes.

I just want a win after a not so great day yesterday ... tennis leg hurts, car repair bills hurt ... I want a win and all will be well again.

This thread is about ARCIA and where he's at. Keep it to that and do not turn this into an 'All the past wrongs of the past GM' thread. Yes, you can disagree with Ryan's decision as it pertains to Arcia, but leave it there.

I seem to recall going through this with someone else and I don't think users are able to do that anymore. In fact I don't think new posters even have that section in their profiles. It might be related to when we changed the site a couple years ago. But Brock would be able to tell you, so PM him.

Or while Vargas is playing first, Grossman is DHing and Granite will be the 4th outfielder.
  17. Squirrel
Actually, Gagne Fan posted this news long before anyone had an inkling, so some assumed he heard the news incorrectly, but he was right ... and hours before the rest of us.
  18. Squirrel
Okay, I want to know your source as we indeed heard it from you first, long before anyone in the media had it. Well done!

Please continue the discussion in the article thread. Thanks. http://twinsdaily.com/topic/26669-article-twins-sign-ancient-pitcher-to-minor-league-contract/

I actually think he is the most deserving Twin, but to each his/her own.

You mean radioactive. Wasn't that what it was? Spider Teen was bitten by a radioactive spider?

Yeah, I think the OP heard someone speculating who and jumped the gun saying it was Granite.
  24. Squirrel
And now I'm seeing Vargas on the way back up.
  25. Squirrel
Mauer to the DL, so if this is true, I'm assuming it's the corresponding move, or someone's wishful thinking, as I've seen nothing regarding a corresponding move. Which is why I asked from what source Gagne Fan heard this.
