  1. Yeah, and this slope slid all the way to the dump
  2. Hasn’t Hunter moved on from the Twins? Doesn’t he have a job with the Angels? Wouldn’t be surprised, now that Washington is out, the Angels offer him the manager job there. Aren’t those the rumors?
  3. That wasn’t AJ. AJ didn’t join the White Sox until 2005. That incident happened in 2004 and Hunter plowed over catcher Jaime Burke.
  4. Yes, well, some things are just beyond some poster’s intellectual capacity. You said it nicer … I’m stating it plainly.
  5. The whole point is to win the WS. While I agree with the firing, we are still a long way out from that given who is calling the shots. I’m just saying that even if the right call, even if they did it two years ago, I don’t believe it moves the needle much. I want more than a few games that should have been won.
  6. I don’t disagree. I did say he failed and should be fired. My point is, if we want a WS, and I do, it’s not going to happen with a new manager when the leadership above and ownership don’t change or don’t alter their course any. A new manager should move the needle, it just won’t be what it needs to be,
  7. I think he failed to get the most out of his teams. I agree with the firing. That said, even if he got the most out of his teams, I still don’t think they win a WS. While I think this firing moves the needle, it won’t enough. And maybe I’m just finally jaded enough.
  8. While we are far from a parade, I don’t know if we’ve been farther from it. The mid to late 90s were pretty awful. So were the early 80s. But, the point remains, we are far from it. Edit: @Richie the Rally Goat beat me to it.
  9. Um … this didn’t age well … but still too much time left to call it
  10. It was actually 5 nights in a row, the other bands were My Chemical Romance, Lumineers and System Of A Down and Avenged Sevenfold. I actually know My Chemical Romance, too
  11. Oasis was the only one I’d heard of
  12. Yep. Soldier Field is literally my backyard
  13. Holy crap. That fly over was loud
  14. It wasn’t over the last few weeks, it was four in a row a week ago. And it was loud and obnoxious
  15. I don’t care what the Vikings do this, I just want them to beat the Bears. And the Packers. Hate the Packers. It’s a good day of football when they lose.
  16. If you want to pull yourself away from the Vikings game …
  17. Either way, I’m going to the DQ. Because I deserve it.
  18. López is back. But it won’t matter. If he does well, the BP will finish us off … not in a good way
  19. Go ahead and put your own video together. For me it’s not that the Vikings are 1 or 20, but add up the arrests of players. That’s a lot. And would bet most of the arrests are drug/alcohol related or domestic violence related.

  21. Can the Twins (im)possibly win again?
