  1. That's a reasonable explanation, but I'm still annoyed that Kinley is still here. I guess there is no one else in Rochester they could call up in place of Kinley, too?
  2. Then make a deal for him so we can send him down. Ugh.
  3. You’d think.
  4. Chief talk about math???? bwahahahahahahaha ... by the time he chisels one number into the stone tablet, the number has changed.
  5. I actually can't ... would have to go back into your original post and change it to a colon; then retake the screen shot and edit my post. It's a lot to do for something I think is already pretty clear ... those three are no laughing matter ...
  6. Lol ... and this one, too, from Blake:
  7. Isolating the frame, this is how I read that:
  8. You two always go the potty talk route for some reason ...
  9. This is the most recent update from the White Sox:
  10. Not just an aneurysm but a ruptured aneurysm in his brain, during the game. He's very lucky. Had this happened mid-air on a flight or while he was in his hotel room, alone, or anywhere alone, yeah, he'd be dead.
  11. That area is also very heavily 'Braved.' I'm not sure it's really the right area. I think a MLB team would find it difficult getting a foothold there. But who knows.
  12. Except that it already has a AAA team, and that area has a lot of minor league teams around. Concur. Except that I vote to put up some padding on that brick underneath the ivy.
  13. And when they do that, we often hear condemnation of that, too ... he's lying, he has no personality, he's fake, lacking 'humanness.' Soooooo ... if you are in the spotlight for some reason, just say whatever because it won't matter ... someone is always going to take it whatever way they want to fit whatever they already think.
  14. Ill be cheering for him because I want the team to win. If he does great, I’ll be happy, but not because I think it will be a sign of things to come but because we need it right now. If he doesn’t do great, I’ll probably sigh because I won’t be surprised and will just hope the Twins start addressing these issues. And then sigh again because, well, not sure they will. But I’ll wait for the outcome of the game before drawing any morose conclusions about Phil or the team right now.
  15. I’m sure Brian will have another word for Grossman playing at all and not LaMarre
  16. This bears repeating a few times. While I'm not overly concerned ... yet ... I am, well, wondering. Maybe our expectations in regards to Sano are too high. I'm not saying that everyone is expecting him to be Pujols, but I still wonder if he's just not going to progress as a hitter the way we think he should or want him to because he just ... can't. Yeah, when he connects ... wow! And we want a lot of that connection. And when we see that connection we think this is who he'll be. But maybe he's just not the next coming of greatness. I'm not sure when the time will come to make that call, and I'm certainly not even close to making that call on Sano yet, because I want him to be able to put it all together and I'm hoping he still will, but ... that's what's in the back of my mind; that is the niggling concern for me, that he's just not that and won't be, no matter what he does.
  17. And I'm waiting for my $20 before you can go on.
  18. Thank you. Moderator note: This has come up in several articles and in each article this nitpick has had no bearing on the over all content of the article and only leads discussion down a side road tangent. Please leave it alone.
  19. This was one of the best reads. And glad to see it made the front page, too!
  20. Luke, thank you. This was a great read!
  21. Sometimes the universe gives you what you need when you need it, if you are looking for it. I had just read the last several posts between you and Mike, and then, of all places, a friend of mine posted that on Facebook. The timing was too odd to be coincidental.
  22. Interestingly enough, I just read this article. I don't know if it's helpful or not in terms of how to address discussions on topics that create polarization. It was just interesting and seemed somehow pertinent to how this discussion is going between all of us. And that isn't an indictment on either side or this, or maybe on both sides of this. <shrug> Something to think about, anyway, not that I completely agree with everything in here. https://aeon.co/essays/why-its-as-hard-to-escape-an-echo-chamber-as-it-is-to-flee-a-cult
  23. I was going to try and make a hairy back joke, but I don’t need to give myself bad dreams this close to bedtime.
