  1. Uh oh ... is Cruz’ wrist bothering him again?
  2. Yesterday was cute. Yeah, the premise is kind of dumb, but it worked and was kind of humorous at times. It’s just one of those entertaining movies, not too deep, but also a reminder of just what this music is, and that it plays to anyone, anytime. The lead was a decent singer, nice voice, and Ed Sheeran playing himself was really good. Rocketman was a solid movie, imo. And the lead actor was phenomenal. Wouldn’t be surprised if he gets some buzz during award season. Pretty solid performances all around. I really enjoyed the music. Could sing every song, and would have had I been the only one in the audience. From one era to the next for me.
  3. I didn’t give it to him. And I’m still working on it!
  4. The delay will give me a chance to watch the end of ‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.’
  5. Recently saw ‘Yesterday’ and ‘Rocketman’. Nice to be reminded of genius and just how many, many songs were a part of my life.
  6. I don't think they have to do that with the ASB coming up.
  7. If the Twins go down to 12 pitchers on the active roster, by way of a revolving up/down door in Rochester for the BP, we can keep one of Arraez or Astudillo when everyone is healthy. The only other way one stays, is if someone is traded, and I don't really expect that to happen of our starters. Stranger things have happened, but not in Twinsland. Arraez is valuable for right now because he can fill the void when we have injuries. That's his role, for right now. Next season? It's a whole different ballgame. As I said before, I don't consider this a problem, good or bad; I consider this team management.
  8. Esco also proved himself over a couple of seasons, not part of one. Not saying he’s not helping, but he is the obvious one to get sent down when all are healthy.
  9. Arraez is great to have as back up and/or filler ... but I don't think, long term, he's a starter. Love what we're getting from him right now, today, and I'll ride that wave; but I'm not sure he's a long term solution. Time will tell.
  10. I mean ... whether he 'misspoke' or what ... this is pretty funny ...
  11. Uh, so Allen wanted out and tanked his performances on purpose, so the team would release him yet still owe him money? You honestly think he did that? And then the Twins start him in high A, because...?
  12. Oh, that wasn’t clear to me. Also, it would be helpful if your thread title were clearer, too. Basically, I guess for me, it’s just a good thing we have the depth, not a problem. And it’s not problematic to me that he gets sent down when Rosario returns, but more problematic to me if our starters continue to get injured, but not problematic to have the depth. Arraez, to me, really isn’t quite a starter type player, but is beyond extra good as filler. So if that is a problem, I guess it’s a good one.
  13. As long as Astudillo and Rosario are on the IL, and Gonzalez not at 100%, and Schoop slumping badly, Arraez will stay because we need him. When Astudillo comes off the IL, I think he’ll be sent to Rochester. But when Rosario comes off? Hmm, not sure you justify keeping Arraez up, as long as no other position player lands on the IL. Not sure why it’s a good problem to have. Yes, he’s doing well, but he’s here primarily because someone better isn’t. I guess it’s good that Arraez has been good depth for us and could take over for Schoop or Adrianza next year.
  14. Yeah, it doesn’t make much sense to me, either. But to remove someone from the 40-man certainly must mean someone is being added. We’re just all curious and speculating who, what, when, where and why.
  15. I’m not sure why you think people here are sheep, let alone it’s not very respectful to call us that. I think most people here prior to the season and all through this season so far have been disappointed more wasn’t/hasn’t been done to sign better pitching; and surprised, happily so, we’ve done as well as we have, knowing that it is well above expectations. I think the majority have acknowledged to win in the playoffs we will need better pitching. Most of the current threads here even discuss the need for better pitching. And the ‘la la land’ comment, not sure what that means, either, other than it being a bit of a slight to posters who have enjoyed the season so far. One can enjoy winning and be hopeful of the future at the same time acknowledge our warts and that it’s above where this team really is. Maybe a small number of people think we can get through and get by with what we have ... their right to have that opinion without being referred to as sheep .., even while most of us think otherwise.
  16. Yeah, I mean, I’d think they’d at least want him to pitch in a few games in AAA first. There’s no rush to add him and put him in right now. But then that might just be me hoping for something better in a trade first.
  17. This isn’t Twitter, so, yes?
  18. Another inning that could’ve been worse than it was. Not sure what that says.
  19. Yeah ... coulda been waaaay worse. Hope the Twins can sink it’s teeth into the A’s BP now.
  20. Would think they’d move him to at least AAA first before calling him up.
  21. Eh, poop. At least we got one.
  22. So far ... but I want fireworks!
