    Perez also has relief experience just last year. Breaking news that Collins, and Rosales, were cut. I think this good for Harper's chances of making the team.

    It's strange that he died on Feb 10th but it was just released yesterday.

    I may have missed it but I didn't see it mentioned that he developed an infection in the cut at some point as well. That probably had a lot to do with it not healing and the complications.

    I thought Marwin would get 3/$39M at the start of FA and am thrilled the Twins got him for less. This is a really smart move. It's nice to have 10-11 guys that probably should play everyday.

    One thing to note is they don't need to use a 5th starter until April 16th. Per Wes Johnson a few weeks back he thought 12 pitchers to that point is likely. So we may not even have the answer to this topic until then.

    I saw it was mentioned by Dan Hayes that Hefner would be handing bullpen duties but wouldn't necessarily start the game in the bullpen.

    On top of the earned runs he was also demoted. So led in ER without pitching a full season. That alarms me.

    4yrs, $36M is way low on Marwin. I think 3 yrs, $36M is much closer to what he will get.

    This is correct and to add to it the 26th man has to be a position player. But LaMarre has to go back down after the series unless someone goes on the DL.

    They can bring up LaMarre as the 26th man for the Puerto Rico series. Cave and Granite are the only other position players on the 40 man.

    It can be this cold later in April too. Twins were forced to play a doubleheader against the Marlins a few years back on April 23rd and it was 32 degrees at best for either game. Damn cold but it was my birthday so I was going to both games regardless.
