  1. Moncada is trash. And I certainly don't want White Sox leftovers.
  2. Not really sure why a season only shortened by 8 games was left out but 1972 Bobby Darwin absolutely belongs on this team. .267 AVG, 22 HR, 80 RBI is pretty solid.
  3. I think he meant Teufel could play multiple IF positions and Puckett multiple OF positions.
  4. The first week of June is calling your name.
  5. No they can't that's why they're looking at alternative options to start the season.
  6. The story also stated they had an insurance policy recently changed so it might still be covered. Still not worth it IMO to replace it.
  7. Reading this article from John Romano of the Tampa Bay Times, it looks like anything at $47M and under to repair the roof would be covered by insurance. Also note in the story that this is under St Petersburg control and the team really has no say in it.
  8. Didn't know Danny Lehmann is the Dodgers bench coach, and a possible candidate for the White Sox managerial opening.
  9. It could be a good sign for the OP here since every team I have rooted for in the playoffs has lost their series to this point. That's right I'm 0-8. I am going for the Yankees and Dodgers. The only NL team I hate more than the Dodgers is the Mets so I am very reserved in rooting for them.
  10. The Cargill family is the only other one that I think could do it.
  11. I'm all in on him as long as he teached third basemen how to push a bunt foul.
  12. Damnit fine print gets me everytime. Patrick Reusse is my pick.
  13. Mark Cuban has tried to buy the Cubs and Pirates but the owners rejected him. Maybe they'll give in this time.
  14. One thing to remember here is that when they eventually got the one year deal from Bally they did not spend any of that on payroll. So the only reason to cut payroll would be if they took a loss on everything else last year.
  15. So out of curiosity I looked at how many pitchers started a game for the Twins this year and was kind of amazed it was only 10, and 2 of them were Henriquez and Okert operating as an opener.
  16. LOL at the talk of Larnach at 1B. He needs to play there all of ST and that's not going to happen.
  17. If he's here it will be in a similar role to this year. 20+ games played at several positions.
  18. No. The Giants have something like 20 coaches.
  19. You didn't mention the one who is gone today, David Popkins.
  20. Paul Molitor please.
  21. Tigers released Urshela to bring up young players and play them.
  22. KMSP 9 reported last night that the team said he wasn't banned for the sign, it was for refusing to leave and being disrespectful and vulgar towards employees. Not defending the team just saying what was reported.
  23. Would have been an epic disaster to move the radio to one of the other options. KFAN would have balked at airing games during the daytime hme hours and likely, as mentioned in the article, would have put the games on the miniscule 96.7 translator or streamed the games only. If they could commit to all, or say 150 of the games on 100.3 it could have worked. IFart wouldn't move the games to the other 3 FM's since they're all stations with really good ratings. No chance Hubbard would work either since 1500 has nowhere near the reach of 830, and zero chance they'd move them to 94.5 since that draws some of, if not, the best ratings every period. As far as being on 830 goes, they're all simulcasted on 102.9, which works for both sides as it's not a rating juggernaut and doesn't suffer, maybe even gains in ratings, when the Twins air. But they have one major issue and that's the Audacy app is hard to navigate, and since April I was not able to listen on it when not able to watch on tv or listen in the car. Not sure how many others had this issue but when I've contacted Audacy about it I never heard back once. Now in my case since I am a season ticket holder, I get MLB.TV for free and I listen through that. But I may not renew so I wouldn't have that option. And since someone brought up the announcers, Attebury is fine. But Gladden has to go. There was an inning in July that went on for a while, and after about 15 minutes I had to look on my phone to see what the score was as he waa rambling on and on about a story. You can't go that long without mentioning the score. Honestly Attebury works a lot better with Perkins and Molitor.
