  1. The Saints need to have a lot of Hamburger Helper to make the playoffs.
  2. The Saints need to have a lot of Hamburger Helper to make the playoffs.
  3. The thinking was so different 12 years ago. I can remember being impressed beyond belief when a guy posted 20 victories. I have to admit that if I hadn't lived in the Twin Cities in 2005 then I most likely would have voted for Colon.
  4. Colon pitching on Tuesday reeks of desperation. Maybe the Boy Wonders know what they are doing and Colon will be a surprise and help the Twins. I am skeptical.
  5. There are similarities between this core four and the group from the 1980s that actually won a few titles. The next 5+ years could be really exciting in Twins territory.
  6. The Saints need to win the 2017 American Association championship and get a banner flying at CHS. After 2015 and 2016, maybe 2017 is third time is the charm.
  7. A split of this weekend series would be a relief.
  8. At this rate, our Twins might be in last place by the end of the week. It is hard to imagine a victory right now unless Berrios or Santana pitch lights out. Cleveland looks playoff ready again.
  9. I don't like being negative guy, however the first place standing as of today seems more of a function of previous work done by TR and company along with TR's players performing. I guess you are right and we must continue to be patient and let the new front office guys work any magic they might have. Count me a fan of Falvey/Levine -it's just that looking at the free agency (lack of moves), spring training, and now the draft I am not seeing much difference between them and the TR regime. Maybe I entered the Falvey/Levine era expecting shock and awe from and need to be patient as they slowly build. I guess I will enjoy the first place ride so far this season and trust the process on the rest.
  10. When does the new front office stop getting the benefit of the doubt?
  11. A sweep of the Giants has been ordered from this Twins guy who also bleeds Dodger Blue.
  12. What's the dirtiest line delivered on television that wasn't censured? ... forget it, someone beat me to the punch...
  13. The Tepesch start was an abomination, trust me I abused myself and sat through the entire thing and still feel sick thinking about it.
  14. You might be able to remove Smalley from the record books, but he will always remain in our hearts ... and on our TVs boring us to death with his commentary. It will be nice to see a team not from the AL Central for a few days to keep things fresh.
  15. If you have a family then the Saints are a better option. There are things for the children to see and do at CHS - Target Field there is not really anything family friendly. Yes, I wish both Target Field and CHS would sell out ever night. I just cannot blame families and casual fans for choosing CHS. My children don't care if Miguel Sano is batting or the retread AAAA former Twin that the Saints just signed.
  16. CHS stands for Cenex Harvest States. They are a Fortune 100 company that endorses the stadium. I think Cenex and Harvest States merged about 15 years ago. It's a great stadium, the next time you are in Minneapolis for a Twins game try to catch a Saints game at CHS.
  17. It should another fun season at CHS Field and the Saints are definitely a favorite for the AA championship. The roster changes are important in this league. Sometimes successful AA players catch on with a big league organization - great for the player, tough break for the organization. The Saints are really all about the fun - as a fan you should not get too focused on outcome for this league.
  18. Keep giving him chances for now. He needs to adjust as the league has adjusted to him. Three poor pitches with bad results is significant.
  19. It says a lot that even a Twins sycophant like Bert Blyleven would criticize Joe for his refusal to adjust his game to beat the shift. Decrease Joe's playing time or bench him and plug Vargas at first base full time.
  20. Let's enjoy the ride and the good times.
  21. Time to get your meds adjusted. The Twins are over .500, the sun is shining, and Jesus loves you. The rest is just life happening like it always has.
  22. Go Twins. Remember those Twins - A's rivalries of the late 80s - early 90s? Geez those were fun regular season games.
  23. I would still like to see Park get a sustained shot at becoming an everyday MLB player. There is too much potential there not to roll the dice.
  24. While I agree with you, I feel we need to give Falvey - Levine more time. At least another year or more before the criticism becomes valid. The first six months of their regime has disappointed me though they were dealt a short hand.
