  1. You are a wise person. This would be the easy, simple, logical, quickest solution that would solve all of our problems, except for the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
  2. This felt like a public service announcement from the Puerto Rico division of tourism.
  3. Baseball needs to rid itself of the pace of play agenda. Baseball is what it always has been and we are getting dangerously close to damaging the integrity of the game. Baseball has either the 1st or 2nd most participants in youth sports in this country. It will survive and thrive.
  4. The Twins put the building blocks in place in 2017 to make a run at the Indians. It might be more realistic to the Twins to win the AL Central in 2019 as opposed to 2018.
  5. Cool quotes. It was interesting what Rowson said about Buxton, "...go out there and be an athlete and do the best you can. Don’t think about it, just go out there and react.” Sometimes these guys just need to go out and play baseball every day, get the needed experience, and progress. Now, let's do the same with Kepler in 2018 against left handed pitching.
  6. Jack Morris and Chuck Knoblauch need to be added to the Twins Hall of Fame. The only Washington Senator I know is Walter Johnson and obviously if the Twins were to recognize Senator great then Walter should be in the Twins Hall of Fame. I like how the Twins do it now - they don't deny the history with the Senators yet do not take accomplishments by the Senators franchise and openly promote them as their own. I would add Frank Viola and Johan Santana as retired Twins numbers. Future Twins Hall of Famers - Joe Mauer and Brian Dozier. There are many others playing in 2018 that are early in their careers and would just be speculation at this point (Sano, Kepler, Buxton, Eddie Rosario, Berrios)
  7. We could get Souhan to write another hatchet job and investigate the eating habits of Rosario by using his insider's access. Or, possibly, these are typical fluctuations and Rosario hasn't really lost a step. The other players his age have also seen fluctuations, this is simply a statistical anomaly and Rosario will probably bounce back.
  8. Not surprising you haven't heard of him since you cannot buy his jersey at Target Field.
  9. Amen. Jack Morris deserves the Hall of Fame induction. There are no qualifiers or disclaimers - Jack was one of the best of his time and came through when the spotlight was brightest.
  10. The greatest Twin ever. Without him, this franchise would probably have no titles and would be a laughingstock. Kirby meant so much to the Twins, Minnesota sports fans, Minneapolis, and the entire state of Minnesota. Then the fall from grace. So is life.
  11. It makes me want to really appreciate the game and how special all MLB players are. Also, I love going to the independent St. Paul Saints and watching those guys truly play for the love of the game. Baseball is the greatest game and we should really soak it in and enjoy the games.
  12. I have to give some credit to Molly as his baserunning genius must have quite an influence on his club.
  13. Take off, eh. You hoser.
  14. The Twins will keep Joe if he repeats or betters in 2018 what he did in 2017.
  15. Just the way he always looked so READY TO HIT every time he came to the plate.
  16. The Twins should treat Phil Hughes as a lost cause and expect zero production. When/if Hughes does give the club something it should be construed as nothing but a bonus. As far as May, it would be great to see him get his chance in the starting rotation and the Twins rewarded for their patience.
  17. Blasphemy! I would be in withdrawal symptoms and detox if I stayed away from TD so long that I forgot my password. Nice to see you back.
  18. What is the future for J.T. Chargois? The high hopes entering 2017 have dimmed to now there is no buzz. I hope he can get back on track in 2018 and contribute in the Twins bullpen.
  19. Agreed. This is one of the reasons why I was against trading Dozier last offseason for a pitching prospect. Dozier is a gamer and a winner and a team leader (who is also a great player) and I want a guy like him on my team as long as possible.
  20. He was successful everywhere he went, pretty much from day one. So, looking back on it maybe his successful career should not even be any bit of a surprise. Interesting he was not drafted after his junior year of college.
  21. The Twins will sign Mauer for 2-3 more years.. because, well, we are Minnesota by the way and that is how we do things. Joe will have a similar year to 2017 in 2018-2020 and be part of a winning club that goes deep into the postseason. I hope he hangs around here long enough to add a Gold Glove to boost his Hall of Fame chances and also to bring a World Series title home.
  22. The Twins will out perform these projections for the most part.
