    It's a contrast - the 'younger generation' wants the action of the home run.... Yet don't want to sit around and wait and watch the byproduct of living by the long ball - more strikeouts, less "other action" such as stolen bases, sac bunts, hit and runs, etc.

    The amount of strikeouts is sickening and boring. Everybody loves the home runs. It just seems MLB becomes more like beer league slow pitch softball With the lack of other interesting plays that are not HRs. I wonder how a team like the 1980s Cardinals would perform in today's climate.

    The Yankees are better than the Twins. It's a good thing today's game is an afternoon game - easier to avoid watching another train wreck on top of a car crash.
