    As far as affordability, I beg to differ. You could get 13 April home games this season for $49. In 2017, they gave you all April and May home games (except the home opener) for $99. Yeah, I get they are standing room only. Still, you should be able to find a seat. My family and I sit in the family section for an April day game each year - it's usually a value or extra value game and we get the ticket,hot dog, and soda for $10. There are affordable options if you don't insist on going to a weekend game in the summertime. When I was my son's age I would beg and plead my dad to take us to the ballpark. My son has his nose buried in a tablet all day and night with no desire to go to a Twins game. Some of the dip in attendance is the shorter attention spans found in today's world. I say that watching on tv pales in comparison to being at the ballpark. Old school. Heck, even the NFL has seen a dip in tv viewers and in attendance.

    Why do we exclude the successful portions of Molly's tenure in this analysis? That's the inverse of saying that so and so pitcher would look great if you drop his worst couple of outings and that one inning where he was shelled. Well yeah, that isn't how it works. Molly kept the team together in 2017 when everyone else had said the Twins season was done multiple times. I give Molly credit in 2017 for leading his club to the playoffs. It is too soon to pack up the tents on 2018.

    Ok. Molly apologist here and I think I can help you. Molly was ejected in the 6th inning and Pressly pitched the 8th inning.

    That's the whole enchilada right there. I cannot endorse being a seller if the Twins still have a realistic 'shot' at catching the Cleveland baseball team. Someone will break out of these many slumps, get Buxton and/or Santana back, Dozier hot streak, etc. It might be difficult to believe after what has transpired in 2018... these Twins are a talented, young team on the rise and we should not throw in the towel in June. Let's wait it out and see what happens. The game will come back to the Twins and the breaks will start falling the Twins' way. Heck, summer has barely begun so I am staying optimistic. There are 31 game between now and July 31. I need to see at least 20 more before I start to lose faith and optimism. At least 20 games.

    What a shame if Sano really wastes all that talent and doesn't rebound from this. Biggest flop in Twins history as of now. There is still time to salvage his career. His response to this demotion seems critical.

    Yeah, I knew Souhan was cherry picking a week of stats. I simply rolled my eyes and thought, "That's Souhan." I can see every other Twins fan I know, with the exception of my brother, not knowing and buying Souhan's slop hook, line, and sinker.

    You have the rule down right. They looked at it via replay and determined it was not obstruction. Dick & Bert said replay was looking for obstruction and those guys are never wrong.

    Maybe it is the feeling of being worn down by the mediocrity of 2018 so far.. It just seems we jump the gun on our guys and want to label them ace or franchise guy or all-star or whatever just before they truly make that leap... and then they flop or regress. Hoping that doesn't happen with Berrios and he truly grows into a consistent ace for many years.

    Yes, going to a minor league game in Iowa is like being transported back in time. Fun times, worth a trip and it's close and affordable. And yes, the robot speeding tickets are for real. They tried to get me a few summers ago. I called and raised a stink, caught them on a technicality, questioned the legality of their process so they eventually dropped the ticket.

    It has become laughable what is considered a hit in MLB instead of an error nowadays. The last five years is when I started to notice it. It is maddening to say the least. This would be a good research topic for a motivated Twins Daily person, comparing what is ruled a hit now compared to a generation or two ago. Have things really changed?

    It's a contrast - the 'younger generation' wants the action of the home run.... Yet don't want to sit around and wait and watch the byproduct of living by the long ball - more strikeouts, less "other action" such as stolen bases, sac bunts, hit and runs, etc.

    As Dozier goes, so go the Twins. If Dozier heats up and hits one of his hot streaks, things might not look so bleak.

    This is becoming a lost season that had so much potential. Nothing left to do except keep playing, realize it's a long season, the breaks will start falling our way, and these guys have a lot of talent.

    The Twins just lost 2 of 3 to the Royals and that is what they deserved. It is hard to be optimistic in this moment. Sweeping the Cleveland baseball is a must, winning 3 of 4 required.

    The amount of strikeouts is sickening and boring. Everybody loves the home runs. It just seems MLB becomes more like beer league slow pitch softball With the lack of other interesting plays that are not HRs. I wonder how a team like the 1980s Cardinals would perform in today's climate.
