  1. No. A significant number of posters come here with an agenda(i.e. I'm smarter than the FO) and we get to hear the same thing over and over again.
  2. Let's not say that at all. This board isn't going anywhere. We can afford to wait and see what happens, and not go by what one member out of 9000+ decides is extremely possible.
  3. I would say at least 50% of the posts disagreeing with the FO are extreme, and only occasionally is reasoning provided which a person with an average baseball IQ would recognize as such.
  4. Don't confuse hypothesis with fact. Nick is just guessing. I agree a better role would be 7th or 8th inning, but he's the best we have at this time. Foolish to breakup a winning team. Hopefully we can wait until the shiny new things are ready.
  5. Jepsen was a proven vet and pitched well down the stretch in 2015. Hu is still pie-in-the-sky.
  6. If we DFA Danny Santana, he'll become the next David Ortiz.
  7. As I recall, Vargas took a foul ball off the foot, and was at best day to day. Also, in the 18 days he spent with Team Puerto Rico, he had all of 9 at bats.
  8. Actually, the bullpen is much improved this year.
  9. It would have better for him to crap the bed in 2015 while we were in the hunt?
  10. Pitching to contact wasn't the problem. I was at 2 of his 5 home starts, and it was like batting practice out there.
  11. I agree they may be using this season to evaluate the organizational talent. We will know more by what they do at the trade deadline. I can't see the problem with giving Tepesch one start. Starting pitching depth is not a strength, let's see what we have.
  12. Having 3 of the top 37 picks in the draft will restock the farm system.
  13. Hicks is 3rd behind Robbie Grossman.
  14. What it tells me is, after he crapped the bed in 2016, they are going to be very careful with him. We have a winning record, no need to rush him at this time.
  15. As I recall, when the 25 man roster was announced, a fair number of members had kittens. I heard the other day, our favorite team didn't make a roster change for 16 games, which is a team record. The new regime's roster construction was masterful. Makes no sense to break up a winning team.
  16. Berrios had the worst rookie debut of any starting pitcher in the history of the franchise. May had 8 starts and Berrios 14.
  17. Sano was made starting 3B, and Rosario and Buxton were not done deals.
  18. Sano is a regression ready to happen. Rod Carew batted .388 in 1977 and regressed the rest of his career. Santiago is a proven vet, the last few games do not define his career.
  19. On this very board, I read an article that said we were the second youngest at 25.8 years old.
  20. At this point in time the pen is doing just fine. If it's not broken don't fix it.
  21. The current regime is fielding the second youngest team in all of baseball. Every team in baseball has stop gap players. I thought you were a "win now" guy. That's why you bring in stop gap players, like every other team in baseball.
  22. You don't play in The Show as long as he has if you're a bad player.
  23. It's been mentioned to you on several occasions, we are the second youngest team in all of baseball.
