  1. No one from the Twins even hinted that Burdi/Melotakis/Reed/Jones would be ready by June 2015. Don't confuse what is said on the fan board with what our favorite team is saying.
  2. Santiago is a solid, and will be a starting pitcher in The Show for the next 3-4 years.
  3. It's not even a partial testament. You do understand if a draft produces 2 solid players, it's considered a good draft, right?
  4. Mudcat or Camilo would be fine with me.
  5. Take a look at the bottom of his scouting reports. If his ceiling is Gibson's or Santiago's, our favorite team would do the happy dance.
  6. I'm hoping the new regime can dump Hughes' contract by offering the Angels Berrios.
  7. Berrios will start at Rochester, and probably resurface as a reliever.
  8. There is at least 3 or 4 who could help. I understand there is not the $100+ million, sexy choice, but at this point in time, we only need one, possibly two to replace the Berrios types. We need to know if the billionaires are going to open up the checkbook. If not, will the new management team consider trading our young players and/or prospects?
  9. The combination of Plouffe, Polanco, and Escobar is the way to handle 3B and SS. It makes no sense to move Plouffe, unless it's decided Polanco is best suited to 3B. I have no idea why anyone is concerned about the Pohlad's money.
  10. I heard he spent all his time in the office playing cards and drinking beer.
  11. I recall you telling us last season he wasn't even the best SS at Cedar Rapids. I don't feel your disclosure will cause any undue concern.
  12. Vargas is the flavor of the month for heaven's sake. I'm sure we can get a coupon for a Happy Meal and fry if we trade him after ST just like we did with Arcia.
  13. Sano at 3rd, makes Grossman look like a gold glover.
  14. I think all three statements are true.
  15. Why? We can move him at the trade deadline. Who cares about the Pohlad's money.
  16. Not that low. Package him with a Gonzalves type and we can get an established starting pitcher.
  17. He will like Arcia, it just won't be for our favorite team.
  18. By we I assume you mean the fan board. I don't expect the fan board to be there yet for 6-12 months, our favorite team has already moved on. You will see Sano occasionally at 3B and I'm guessing they will give him reps at 1B during ST. This is simply our favorite teams best attempt to keep him engaged.
  19. Our future DH is named Sano, not Vargas.
  20. I agree, this isn't 2012, 2013, or 2014. Many of our horses are already at Target Field, and the pipeline isn't anywhere close to drying up. Buy what we need in free agency, and open up the farm system and trade to fill any additional needs. If our billionaire owners are serious about contending, and it appears they are, time to get the checkbook out.
  21. I bet Molly did the happy dance when Sano came down with his timely back injury. Molly should be able to milk that for the rest of the season to keep Sano off 3rd.
  22. Actually, I was criticizing your interpretation of Paul's view.
