  1. No so. In 2015 he played half the season at 3B for Rochester. He played 9 games at 3B in The Show, because he wasn't good enough to earn more time. We all remember what happened last year. He was terrible.
  2. Specifically, which near ready players are you speaking of? All I've seen mentioned is pie in the sky. I do find it refreshing, that our prolific posters have suddenly and unexpectedly seem to have embraced patience.
  3. So the team which had the most errors in the AL, needed Sano to add another 25-30? Unless someone puts a gun to his head, you will never see Molly play Sano at 3B on a regular basis.
  4. Not so. We can package several of our young starting pitchers at AA to get a proven starting pitcher. Also, the free agent starting piching market is weak, but there are several who have a much better chance to help the team next season than Berrios, or heaven forbid Gonsalves. We have money to spend, and the most valuable commodity in all of baseball, which is young starting pitching. The question is, is our new management team's marching orders to win ASAP, or are we embarking on a new 5 year plan.
  5. Vargas doesn't play 3B. If you mean Sano had to beat out Plouffe, never in a million years. Bad hands, lack of agility, and poor instincts. You do realize, Molly didn't play Sano at 3B on a regular basis until the last 6 games when there were no longer any wild card implications to any team.
  6. Vargas has no trade value. Remember, they tried to sell him overseas.
  7. I have a hard time believing a player who gave us less than 50 innings, while being on the disabled list 3 times, is going to be able to give us 140-160 innings. I would like him to start out as our #6 starter at Rochester and be the first man up( Mejia and Berrios can fight it out for the 7th spot).
  8. The truth hurts. Gonsalves has better stats than stuff. Best not to push him too quickly or we will have another Berrios on our hands. Leave him in the minors until he can develop a dependable curve or slider. No way in the world does his fastball sit at 92-93. Maybe downhill and with the wind.
  9. Gonsalves sits at 87-90 with no dependable breaking pitch. Milone hit 92 several games I listened to. Take a look at Milone's career record. Gonsalves is pie in the sky, and I would trade him, if at all possible.
  10. Stewart and Jay are far better prospects. Also, our top pick in the 2017 draft, may well be major league ready.
  11. Trading by far your best player for pie in the sky is a sign of a tear down. Many on the board, also want them to trade Santana. I'm flexible, but I do go to 15-20 games a year and would much prefer they attempt to contend like virtually every other team. I would increase payroll and offer up our AA pitching prospects.
  12. What's wrong with being a mouthpiece for our favorite team? It's no secret he had a good relationship with TR.
  13. So you want to do a tear down and start a new 5 year plan? No one can predict who will win the World Series, the goal is to play meaningful baseball in September.
  14. For what it's worth, Gonsalves is a taller version of Milone without a dependable breaking pitch.
  15. I would move Sano for an established starting pitcher.
  16. A significant advantage is another way of saying excuse.
  17. Berrios drown and now the fan board wants to give him a scholarship.
  18. Not so weird if you read the article stating his rookie starting pitching debut was the worst since some Cubbie named Micah Bowe in 1999. The worst since 1999 is not a SSS.
  19. I'm guessing Gonsalves, Stewart, and Jay have all passed Berrios up as the Twins most important starting pitching prospect.
  20. Plouffe is by far our best option at 3B. Santiago and Gibson have decent track records, and with Santana give us 3 major league starters. Berrios will be buried at Rochester, and most likely will end up a reliever in the not too distance future.
