  1. Get back to ya on private message--- and I get a cut.
  2. It is absolutely nuts over here- a country nearly exactly the same size as the US, with only 1 time zone (decreed by Mao in the late 40's as a push for "national unity," fer God's sake)... Imagine if LA, SF and west coast had to be on the same time as NYC- what a mess. Fortunately, in HK we have our own time, but are directly south of Beijing, so it doesn't really matter. But man, would it suck to be in the west. They've tried it a few times, but it just led to chaos, as each province and sometimes cities just went on their own time. 3. UTC (the former GMT) +8, Chief. Hong Kong and all of the greater people's republic of Chai-na. It's just turning 10 AM tomorrow, so I already know how this game comes out. I'm only humouring the rest of y'all.
  4. Dominant starting pitching- Twins version- fun to watch. And a long time coming. We've seen it a lot, but usually on the other side.
  5. Well, classes and such today, but checking in-- WS have a wild man on the mound today, 4BB and 80+ pitches thru 5- and yet it's only 2-0. Don't like it. It's quiet. Too quiet. Come on, bats.
  6. Ditto on the Yankee loathing. The other Sox (Red ones) are just a half-tick below the Yanks on my hate-meter- and they play each other 19 times a year. It almost makes me hate baseball itself, since only 1 team can lose each game. I rationalize it, though, by 'rooting' for the away team. That way, at least the ultra-entitled home fans in Fenway or the Bronx can go home with an outrageously-expensive-beer-hangover having watched their team get stuffed in their own park.
  7. Heh... As much as we hate ex-Twinkies coming back to bite us, it's so sweet to have an ex-Sock coming back to bite them. Even Hawk hated to lose him, called him "a good little player." Go Esco!
  8. "... I would unplug their life support in order to charge my phone." There it is-- finally one nearly iambic pantameter line to encapsulate my Sox hatred. Thanks, Riv. I feel better about my day already.
  9. What's up with this Moran guy? If ever anybody needed to get thrown some 'chin music...' I can't wait til these stupid looking beards go the way of the mullet.
  10. *sigh* You cats may know I've been on the never-Molly train since the get-go. But willing to give a chance. Ok-- chanceS... But heck, here we go again, eh? Got lots of new, shiny bullpen toys for Xmas, and he has to break something the first day. (I refer to Mr. Duke's outing). I dunno. We do have what looks like a real Bp this year, as opposed to a hope-this-works one; I just hope he learns to use it effectively.
  11. Golly, what an inning that was. Rodney dialing it up, and that DP- whatta gun by Castro there!
  12. Ho-hum. 5:50 AM, and I woke up in time for the Kepler at bat. Now it's bonus baseball for breakfast!! Hmmmm, that chicken sausage looks good.... Maybe just start with a cuppa Joe. Don't want to count my... you know....
  13. What is Molly thinking? That's the strangest lineup I ever saw! Omg! Why isn't he pinch hitting here? Come on, man, this is Baseball 101! Holy moley, I'm lovin' me some Odor-Easy! What a great pickup! Chicken! Chicken! Chicken Dinnah!!!! Woo hoooo!!!!! Sorry, guys, the game comes on at 3AM Hong Kong time, I'm just getting my comments in early, before I go to bed.

Wow, what an awesome article! This was a great read. Thanks a million for shedding light on a brand-new (old-time) hero!
  15. I've been waiting for this- I think we're looking at a solid 15 wins from this guy, and I think we're contending for the Central.
  16. There's a lot of talk about Lynn being a league-average type of pitcher--- BUT- a league-average pitcher who's been to a World Series, and on a perennial pennant-contending team. I'd take him in a hearbeat, with this club.
  17. Every day recently I log on here, hoping for a Lance Lynn signing. I'm not going to hold out hope for the playoffs unless I see him in Twin-stripes. Come on, Falvine! A pennant may be out there yet!
  18. I'm excited to see LoMo as a Twin. Really dug the Odorizzi deal, too. Finally, some things are happening in the winter (nearly spring) time for once in Twinkieland. Now, I just need to see Lance Lynn over here, too, and my offseason will be complete!
  19. I concur with this deal. Wow- got a good, dependable starter for only 1 prospect- well played, Falvine.
