  1. Nothing like consistency. 🙄 So sick of looking like we're in awe of these guys.
  2. Story of this one, in a nutshell-- these freakin' pedestrians. 🙄 Inherited runners-scored:Sands 1-1; Okert 2-2; Thielbar 2-2; Staumont 3-0.
  3. Cripe! We gave that one away! Mr. Jackson, et. al.- holy moley, what a stink-o-rama. At least I was able to catch the White Sox SWEEP of Cleveland! *Edit*- (beg pardon, still one more game tmw.) Mike (the guy I REALLY wanted to pick up this winter) Clevinger shut them down! Then 'closer' John Brebbia (and guy you thought you saw at the laundromat last week) blew them down in the 9th! Still a half a buck out, but in danger of being passed by the Royals. First place if we didn't have that El Gasolino bullpen today.
  4. Heh... updating my little post- Also sweet today: Only a half a buck outta first place! Plus-- Both Sonny Gray and Lance Lynn getting greased by the Brewers on successive days! Off to the rugby now, with a song in my heart! 😅⚾👬
  5. "Chaos ensued. It's Griffin Jax, after all." 😂 Truer words never spoken. As soon as I saw him come in, I wondered where the H Stewart was, forgetting that he was the latest on the parade to the IL. Heart started pounding like being pulled by that chain going up the first climb on the High Roller at Valley Fair. Then, of course, the plunges, whirls, and loops, until finally, what Ol' Grif couldn't do with his arm, he managed to do with his @$$. Whew! This was made even sweeter by switching over to the White Sox game who took their 2nd in a row over the Clevelands! Chicken for breakfast today here in dreary, rainy Hong Kong. 🐔
  6. YIkes! This Jackson fella- I've seen way too much of him already. There's gotta be an arm in SP or the waiver wire...
  7. Yesterday, I was reminiscing and 'missing' the Hawkster on the White Sox broadcast. Today as I tuned in with their feed, I was perplexed, because I always enjoy Jason Benetti. I didn't know, or forgot perhaps, that he walked away and went with the Tigers this year! (Apparently dissed by some faceless, feckless WSox 'executive.') Steve Stone was spot on as usual, though! He was making CALLS! "Let's see if we can retire Willie Castro, who has been problematic..." BANG! Triple! 😂 Re: White Sox park being hitter-friendly: "It's not great, because it yields a lot of home runs..." BANG! Kiriloff goes yard! 😂🤣😂
  8. Sheesh... I almost feel bad for the White Sox! Almost.... 😂 What I do miss are Hawk's silences whenever the other team does something good: <Thing happening- clutch hit, HR, etc, runners circling bases> <silence> "Welp..." (sometimes a resigned sigh follows) 😅
  9. Just a random thought in the weekend's reflection- HOLY MOLEY did the Angels play BAAAAAAD defense! Jo Adell in particular really brought some lumber, but in NHL terms, his overall +- had to be no more than 1! Wow, those pitchers better be taken out to Red Lobster for a surf and turf by their fielders this week.
  10. It's really great to get on track with this White Sox/ Angels stretch. It may seem like an easy stretch, but none of those games are a given; you still have to play them out. 3 more with Sox, then we're going to have to start playing professional teams again. Hopefully, we can keep some momentum. *In Bert's immortal words, it's nice to get back to "five hunnerd."
  11. There has GOT to be a way to get that black hole Farmer out of the regular lineup.
  12. Bowman, FFS, dude. We've all seen this script before,
  13. Shoot. Good job by Bailey so far, though! https://memes.getyarn.io/yarn-clip/17f75710-9cf8-4daa-a3ad-3504d11982f2
  14. 🤡😂🤡 This Jo Adell-- What a clown! Could have left tried a lot harder on a bloop to RF, then tried to catch one with his @$$! Almost feel for Sandoval, with the Angels "throwing the leather" around!
  15. Winner! 👍 But it's the Sox, so... here's some chicken from the local 7-11 anyway.
  16. Unless he faces the White Sox a couple more times.
  17. 🐶🐕🌭🐕‍🦺 It just occurred to me there couldn't be 2 more fitting teams to go head to head on "Dog Night."
  18. Welp, thanks to SSS Trevor Larnach, we actually have 3 players with an adult OPS. Which is 1 more than the Sox. Yippee.
  19. What are the odds we trade for Riley Greene after the game? He'd fit right in.
  20. Heh... tie game in 8th, wild pitch, etc. It's like there's a script or something.
