    I've been checked out of the NFL after the draft... Still some decent names available in FA. No idea if they're injured or just not good anymore... WR: Tyreek Hill (probably done that leg injury was gruesome), Deebo Samuel, Diggs, Brandin Cooks, Keenan Allen EDGE: Joey Bosa, Clowney, Haason Reddick, Von Miller (old) CB: Marshon Lattimore, Trevon Diggs, Kenny Moore By the way, since it's been radio silence from Harry the Hitman, are we to assume he's coming back?

    He's at the stage in his career where it could go either way. Turning 33 years old, and probably more of a #4 WR than a #2 WR. Maybe he waits out the first wave of training camp injuries then signs after that.

    In fairness to Chapman, it’s pretty amazing he’s pitched this long without a major injury, and he’s still throwing upper 90s gas. As far as this deadline, I envision a deadline like 2019 when we acquired Sergio Romo and the other dude that was broken goods. Getting some guys with playoff experience would really help if we somehow snuck into the wild card. Acquiring guys like Kirby Yates or AJ Minter I would guess costs around the 20th best prospect in our system.

    An organizational philosophy I've agreed with in the Falvey/Zoll regime is not spending big money on relief pitching. As consistent as Chapman has been in his career, the position itself is still ripe for SSS. I'm not too comfortable making a $13 million bet on a 39 year old reliever.

    A little nugget that Dan Hayes said in the clip is Joe Ryan was seeking a 7 year around $30 million per year extension last season. Some team in a much better financial position than the Twins will add the additional year or higher AAV. Sucks, but that's the reality we're in.

    I think they'll acquire 2-3 expiring contract pitchers since the Pohlads are adamant about competing this year... Relief options like Kirby Yates, AJ Minter, Danny Coloumbe and another starter like Brady Singer.

    The problem with this scenario is the money owed to both in 2027. Sonny Gray has a $10 million buyout, and Aroldis Chapman has a $13 million price tag that kicks in next year if he pitches another 12 innings this year. I would be shocked if Tom P is willing to fork over $23 million for a 39 year old Chapman, and Gray who likely won't be on the team next year.

    A question that’s been on my mind… Let’s say player control is reduced in the next CBA from 6 full service time years to 5. Will existing players be grandfathered in? Or will players like Joe Ryan instantly hit FA?

    Beyond that look, this is the only other alternative I'd accept with the classic M cap.

    Could be and wouldn't be opposed. I envision a 60/40 split up to a 70/30 split in starts at SS between Kreidler/Culpepper whenever he's called up.

    Now that Keaschall temporarily solved the problem of part time CF, Kreidler can now focus on SS. He looks the part at that spot, so keep him there as long as he continues to prove himself at the plate. That leaves Gray irrelevant when/if Culpepper is called up. Kreidler can keep the starting job as long as he can, and leave Culpepper to fill in at SS/3B/2B on a near daily basis.

    Depends on the day. Kreidler should be playing SS every day until Culpepper gets called up. Gray is not a SS and shouldn't play there unless it's a break glass in case of emergency scenario.

    Yeah I threw that in the Jack Anderson claim thread since they’re both Boston pitchers. The Twins need LH pitching depth, and for the low price of cash considerations should pick up an old friend. For whatever reason he does great here and mediocre elsewhere

    The HR derby is on Netflix... No idea who's calling it on that network. But no, I don't really care about the All Star festivities for any sport.

    Even though we're entering the all-star break with a similar record as last year, the vibe of the 2026 team is so much better than 2025. For example, the game last Wednesday when Roden had the walk off hit. That's a game where the 2025 Twins curl up in the fetal position and lose 5-3 or even worse. Makes me wonder if Rocco and the previous hitting coach were showing hieroglyphics to the batters in 2025? Because their ability to string together hits has been great to see in 2026. Now we're in the most boring sports week of the year...

    Can anyone settle this debate? My dad believes that if any Twins player hits the TC Bear RV out in the RF plaza on the fly they give it away. Is that true?
