  1. We’re #1! We’re #1!
  2. Not a good day for Kwesi. We are running out of realistic moves to fit the free agent signings + keeping Cook and Z Smith. Sure, they can both be traded anytime. However, today was the deadline to make a decision before additional guaranteed money was added to the books. I’m at a loss. $20 million total cap hit for Cook, Mattison, and Ham. That’s not how I envision an analytical GM to operate…
  3. I’m getting slightly concerned that Davenport wasn’t at the press conference yesterday. Hopefully he doesn’t do the old switcharoo and sign elsewhere. Probably indicates why ZaDarius is still on the roster. Today has to be the day to make a decision on Dalvin Cook. Some of his salary becomes guaranteed today, as well as Z Smith.
  4. I still don’t think Mattison will be the primary starter if/when we get rid of Cook. This is a deep RB draft class. I’d love to draft one in the 3rd/4th round… Tank Bigsby, Zach Evans, and Zach Charbonnet are my targets. In regards to Dalvin, I’m guessing all we’re getting for trade offers is a 7th round pick. He’s simply making too much money and clearly lost a step last season. Not going to get any better for him.
  5. I’m good with bringing him back at this rate. Now let’s do something about Dalvin.
  6. He doesn’t have any of the charisma Brett Favre had. I could see Rodgers dividing a locker room. That’s why he wants to get some of his boys like Lazard, Cobb, and Mercedes Lewis in the building.
  7. He was my top FA that the Vikings could realistically sign. I LOVE this deal. Huge upside potential, 25 years old, who’s shown some ability already to be a shutdown corner.
  8. If history indeed repeats itself and Rodgers fails miserably after a year in NY like Favre, I have zero… Zero interest in Rodgers wearing a Vikings uniform.
  9. Rodgers strategically picked tomorrow as his day to go on the Pat McAfee show. March Madness starts Thursday so tomorrow is his last chance for a little while to make it all about himself. Good luck, Jets.
  10. That dead cap hit is going to hurt.
  11. 2 silver linings: We are 100% moving on from Kirk after the 2023 season, even potentially this offseason. Lowering his cap hit to $20 million opens up the possibility for a trade even more. Downside: That’s going to be a nasty, costly dead cap hit in 2024.
  12. That’s a name I haven’t read in a long time… I erased that horrible experiment from my memory and now it’s back.
  13. The fact that we’re still 5-6 million over the cap and signed this dude doesn’t speak well for Kwesi. Start making decisions dude.
  14. Head scratching first day of free agency move when there is extremely limited cap space. There are several things to like about Oliver… Young (25), 2nd best graded run blocker per PFF, and athletic. The head scratching part is this… Are the Vikings changing their offense to use more 2 TE sets? Last year they were the 7th lowest utilizing 2 TE sets. Or are we flipping Hockenson for picks?
  15. Bears absolutely fleeced the Panthers.
  16. Yeah, I’m just happy they are choosing a path and going with it. KAM built some trust with the Wilfs and now he’s going to be able to build the roster in his vision once we get through the rough cap hits in 2023.
  17. I actually wouldn’t mind it. Next year’s QB class is supposed to be excellent. I’ll take one bad year to draft either Caleb Williams or Drake Maye.
  18. Feels like we’re gonna go 2022 Bears… Just taking the cap hits now to clear the deck for 2024.
  19. It felt like he wore out his welcome last year… But again, how did we not get a 5th round pick for him in a trade?
  20. That would be a stunner of a move.
  21. Today is probably the day we’ll see a flurry of moves. I don’t know if we’ll see ZaDarius Smith cut loose or wait out a trade. My guess is O’Niell gets restructured and Dalvin Cook gets traded.
  22. Unfortunate but expected news. Good luck to him in the final years of his career.
  23. Well that’s awkward.
