  1. The Cowboys might as well hand Micah Parsons his bag of money now before Zimmer makes him even better.
  2. Devin Hester, Julius Peppers, and Steve McMichael make the HOF this year. The fact that Jim Marshall is held out of the HOF to this day is a tragedy. The man is still alive at 86 years old. Let him know he’s a HOF player before he’s dead and buried already!
  3. Note that I don’t advocate doing it, because all it does it kick the can down the road again for Kirk’s dead cap. But it can be done if Kwesi chooses to do so. Personally I’m letting Kirk walk, re-signing Hunter (spreading his $14.5 ish dead cap across future years), extending JJ, and use the $40ish million in cap space to sign an impact DL like Christian Wilkins, Chris Jones, or Justin Madubuike.
  4. Yeah, Orlovski is wrong about that. They could extend Kirk at $40 million per year and it would barely touch the $28.5 M dead cap hit we already have on the books. Extending JJ will also put a small dent in the cap hit already on the books. I’m talking specifically about 2024. Who knows what the structure looks like down the road… that’s for people way smarter than me to figure out. If paying a stud QB and WR is going to bankrupt teams, then the Bengals and Cowboys are in big trouble. Burrow and Dak both have $50+ million contracts and both CeeDee Lamb and JaMarr Chase are due to get paid.
  5. That trade offer is so absurd.
  6. I’m still hopeful that this will work itself out and Jefferson will be a Viking for a very long time. If this situation ends up with him getting traded, it’ll be the 2nd worst personnel screw up in team history. Nothing will top the Hershel Walker trade and giving the Cowboys a dynasty in the 90s.
  7. Couldn’t agree more. For the record I think Correa has a big bounce back year with an .850+ OPS. I’ve been burned too many times by Buxton. 80 games in CF will feel like a win after the shenanigans last year.
  8. One would say Jordy Blaze took a hit to the face today with the DFA news.
  9. This sparked my curiosity to look into Minnesota United FC for the first time. I imagine their stadium looks packed because it’s the 6th smallest stadium in MLS by capacity. Evidently they’ve been doing well, making the playoffs in 5 of the last 7 years. I haven’t heard a peep about them living in the area and paying attention to sports media. Here’s a good litmus test… The argument has been made to make baseball broadcasts widely available. And maybe, just maybe some younger kids stumble upon it and become fans. Whelp, MLS has been available on Apple TV+. For $79 you can get the season pass and watch every MLS game. Does anyone know a person who has done this?
  10. The Twins got to 87 wins last year due to unprecedented rookie contributions from Lewis, Wallner, and Julien. At least one of them will have a sophomore slump. It’s bound to happen. I like the pitching staff. Another top of the rotation guy would do wonders for this season. I think the offense has a ton of variance, and as of today, don’t have confidence they will be better than last year. And they weren’t a good enough offense last year either. Just like last year, first team to 82 wins is the AL Central champ.
  11. Out of sight, out of mind. Years of hiding their content behind a cable box and radio broadcasts on AM frequency is catching up to them. When they announced their intention to slash payroll right away in the offseason, I took it as an invitation to check out for the winter.
  12. Another year of blackouts for in-state and regional fans. A big broken promise from St Peter. I’m shocked at how badly this negotiation was botched by the Twins.
  13. Sticking with status quo for TV is disappointing for sure. A big broken promise when they said earlier this winter that games will be widely available for people in-state.
  14. Campbell is paid the big bucks to make these decisions and it’s crazy not a single decision he made in the 2nd half was correct.
  15. I was wondering when the real Lions defense was going to show up in the playoffs. Tonight the clock struck midnight on their Cinderella story.
  16. What? Not even close. They went 0-16.
  17. The Lions are soiling their pants right now.
  18. Tie game. These are the Lions we know.
  19. HUGE momentum swing
  20. I was posting in the void in the other thread. Hell of a play by Aiyuk. That should have been picked but it swung in the direction of the 9ers.
  21. Lucky bounce for the 49ers there. Should have been picked
  22. His contract is insanely valuable and their roster needs to win it all immediately. Maybe they trade Purdy for a 1st and finally get Kirk after 3+ years of rumors.
  23. Purdy ain’t the guy if he can’t win with this loaded roster.
  24. KC looks like the superior team so far* *hoping for a reverse jinx
