MLB is about 10 years behind the NHL on this. The MN Wild signed Zach Parise and Ryan Suter to 13 year contracts with manipulated cap hits to build a good team. Ilya Kovalchuk signed a similar 17 year deal IIRC with the New Jersey Devils around that same time. The Kovalchuk contract was voided due to blatant manipulation tactics. The Wild have been getting punished by NHL for the last 3-4 years because of that. The Dodgers should get punished for this and this specific loophole needs to be closed ASAP before things get out of hand in baseball.

Baseball is entering a VERY slippery slope. I can’t believe it’s allowed but it is because the CBA has so many loopholes. -
There are many loopholes in this current CBA, but this loophole takes the cake. Big markets can defer whatever money they want and if paying Ohtani ever becomes a problem, the owner will sell the team and put the burden on someone else.

This is the lowest my opinion has been of KOC in his tenure. By no means am I calling for him to be fired... However, he's not showing much willingness to adapt to the QB's strengths so far after Kirk.

My paranoid thought is that we won't see JJ the rest of the season. And then things could get very interesting this offseason if the Vikings move on to a rookie QB.

49 yards. Which in today's NFL, is becoming closer and closer to a chip shot. He's a below average NFL kicker I have no idea why the Vikings haven't added real competition.
