  1. Guardians making a move.
  2. Another player that only 5-7 teams can realistically afford to pay. How fun.
  3. That would be a dream offseason for the Pohlads. Cleaning up the books so they can pocket MLB cash one more time before the sale. I’m operating under the assumption that any major trade this winter won’t benefit the 2025 Twins. Trades will only benefit the balance sheet.
  4. This MNF game wasn’t for me. Didn’t watch a second of it
  5. I just looked it up out of curiosity… since 2000 there have been 16 teams that won a World Series, and 11 teams that won an NBA title. So they are getting closer to parity. The salary cap/floor/revenue sharing baseball needs to adapt is far beyond my comprehension. It won’t be perfect at first, but something needs to happen otherwise growth will grind to a halt. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to be a fan of a team in central USA when we can’t afford star FAs or retaining home grown stars. Kansas City has next to 0 chance affording a 15/$800+ million contract to Bobby Witt Jr. when he’s eligible for FA.
  6. Every bar/restaurant in the neighborhood should have some sort of partnership with the Twins and Timberwolves for sure. Maybe not the high end places like Bar La Grassa, but a wing place like Runyons should absolutely have some Twins related specials.
  7. This plus full, equal revenue sharing. NFL and NBA are running laps around MLB because they learned long ago that competitive balance is the key to growth. If this divide between the haves and have nots continues to grow in MLB it will be a niche sport before we know it.
  8. You are correct. I eat before I head to the stadium either at my house or a restaurant in North Loop. I will push back on the $1 hot dogs being good. They are not. Small and on a bun that’s a day away from being stale.
  9. What? I went to a couple of dollar dog nights last summer and that was not the case at all. Hard to sell out when the stadium is half full. The food at the state fair is actually good. Not good for you, but much better quality than gas station quality hot dogs at Target Field. And a slice of Red Baron frozen pizza for $12 or whatever they’re charging.
  10. That contract is going to age so, so poorly for the Mets.
  11. At a minimum tag him. If Kwesi is a true analytics guy he’s not going to let Darnold walk without getting market value out of him. He’s worth at least a 1st round pick in a trade at this point.
  12. Honestly don’t care who makes it out of the NFC South they’re gonna get crushed by whoever plays them.
  13. Darnold is making this decision more difficult every game. If he leads the team to the NFC Championship game idk how you can let him walk. Kwesi had a plan but plans change. At the very least he should get the franchise tag.
  14. Signing Kirk to a 4 year contract was clearly an owner dictated decision to end their playoff drought. Kirk’s not gonna do it for them so they need to move on too before it’s too late.
  15. Take their medicine with the $65 million cap hit and the owner needs to learn his lesson not to meddle with roster decisions.
  16. Bills are crawling back into this game…
  17. Rams could be scary in the playoffs…
  18. Ideally this is the kick in the pants that Buffalo needs to beat Detroit next week
  19. Me too my friend. Didn’t want Kirk back at any price it was beyond time to move on from that experiment. Atlanta would be crazy to keep him next season. They need to cut their losses and go with Penix.
  20. Seattle is one of those teams I rarely pay attention to but they’re always in the mix for the playoffs
  21. Around 100 of those yards came in garbage time. Empty calories when you don’t throw a TD in a month.
  22. I found some Falcons podcasts doing a live reaction after the game and it’s hilarious. They’re melting down about Kirk
  23. Unbelievable turnaround in the 2nd half. This is a statement win in December. Team’s peaking at the right time. This could be a special season
  24. Entirely predictable. 36 year old coming off a major injury and still not fully recovered. I’m calling it now he’ll be benched after this game.
  25. Gets turnovers when it matters!
