  1. Some teams do it better than others extracting value out of their players. KC traded 33 year old Joe Thuney with 1 year $15 million cap hit to the Bears for a 2026 4th round pick.
  2. Almost certainly. At least his time with the Twins. We can’t keep him on the 40 beyond this year without any production.
  3. Kwesi has let 3 of the biggest assets in the organization leave without much of a fight. Kirko, Hunter, now Darnold. That’s not exactly screaming analytics to me.
  4. Hard to imagine an opportunity like that again for the Vikings. I’d rather have a guaranteed return, even if it was a 4th or 5th round pick, over hoping the comp pick calculator works in our favor.
  5. I’ve accepted it before the decision was made. Super lame and now I’m watching for the numbers when Darnold lands elsewhere.
  6. Idk if Ishbia was the right guy. None of us do. But I’m very confident the brothers would have been better than the Pohlads over their 30+ year run. We know the Pohlads will never add to a team. Even when the stars all align like 2019, and pick any year from 2003-2009. We know the Pohlads don’t care about winning a WS if it means going over a self-policed salary cap.
  7. 100% this. Now we’re stuck with the Pohlads again for the foreseeable future. None of us wanted that to happen.
  8. It’s pretty telling where he stands right now.. KOC was extended a month ago, and Kwesi is a lame duck GM.
  9. Free agents don’t sign same day, the final details are usually ironed out a day or 3 after it’s announced a player is signing somewhere. There’s contract restructures they will probably do later in the offseason anyway. They can hold onto a $40 million trade chip and still participate in free agency right away. Tomorrow will be telling. We won’t tag him unless a trade is already in place. It’s just going to bother me greatly if we got the best possible outcome out of a failing QB, and he walks for nothing.
  10. If things go OK, they get a borderline top 10 QB for less than the market rate which is 50-55 million. Darnold will have a market… Kwesi should know what the market is and make a trade. Otherwise I have zero confidence in him managing this organization long term.
  11. I’d go with Darnold over the old veterans IMO. Darnold gives them a chance at a longer term solution at QB. Rodgers, Kirk, and Wilson provide a 1 year band aid that likely takes them out of a top 5 draft pick next year.
  12. It will be mind boggling to me if Kwesi can’t get value out of a top QB option in a terrible market. Part of me wonders if he’s too scared to ruffle feathers in order to protect their good guy culture they’ve built. Kwesi is supposed to be an analytics guy, and every baseball analytics FO gets value out of assets they rebuilt. Re: tampering. Yeah, Brady is the golden boy of the NFL and they allow him to do whatever he wants. He should not be both an owner and broadcaster. Pick a lane. Why are we pretending he’s not getting insider info every single week to use for the Raiders’ benefit?
  13. Deadline is tomorrow to issue franchise tags. My confidence in Kwesi will take a massive hit if he can’t figure out a way to tag and trade the top QB on the market in a horrible QB draft class year.
  14. Add some grilled onions and that’s a high quality brat!
  15. Omarion Hampton pretty much locked in a 1st round grade now after his combine. Henderson and Harvey ran in the 4.4s. Tuten is faster than all of them.
  16. Yep. LeCroy. Lock it in!
  17. We will keep close tabs on this. But so far a -11 run differential isn’t helping the cause!
  18. I started reading the Athletic article, and immediately got the impression this is a kid that has never faced consequences for anything in his life.
  19. Correct. I was just going to post what am I missing on Alcala getting sent to the minors to begin the season? This is at least 2 articles I’ve read floating this idea and it’s mind boggling. If we are keeping Tonkin or the rule 5 pick over him then Falvey has stopped paying attention to the team in this new role of his. Edit: I’ll also add Justin Topa to that list. If anything throw the 34 year old with 1/2 season of success in St Paul to keep Alcala in the MLB pen
  20. How many games left for you in attendance? If they finish below .500 with you in the crowd, I’m not sure we can allow you to see them live in the regular season
  21. https://www.nfl.com/combine/iq/mobile NFL draft combine data with next gen stats. Pretty cool to check out
  22. Gotta sign at least one of these names. Preferably 2.
  23. Sign me up for OL Will Fries and C Drew Dahlman. Also CB DJ Reed. That would be a great start heading into the draft.
  24. My pipe dream is dead. Damnit.
  25. Jacque Jones left the Twins in 2005 so there’s no chance he played a home game outdoors like the picture. Which reduces it down to either Revere or Polanco. And Revere was a slender build. So I feel pretty good about this one being Polanco thanks to the clear #11 jersey #.
