But I’ve been here long enough to know you get fixated on a certain topic then leave for an extended period and return. Don’t repeat the cycle. I think you’ve got a little more gas left in the tank.

One of my favorite Vikings of all time! About time he makes the HOF. We acquired him during my freshman year of college and the peak of my sports, sports, sports, my whole life is just sports phase in life.

Anyway…. Saw a stat that Dan Orlovski tweeted that’s pretty crazy. The Chiefs dating back to 2019 have not allowed a 100 yard rusher in 18 straight playoff games. Is Barkley good enough to break the streak?

Yeah that was more of a general NFL question not Vikings specific. I don’t want Watson anywhere near the Vikings… But there are teams with tons of cap space who can’t realistically spend it all. I’m thinking a team like NE with $100 something million to play with.

I’m in full agreement. Sorry, not going to read through 8 pages of comments. Is the other side of the argument that Rodriguez needs a clear 6 lane freeway to MLB playing time right away? Because that’s worked out so well over the years…and leaves us with Jordan Luplow type waiver wire pickups in the season when Rodriguez has an unplayable stretch of games.

And since y’all brought up the Watson angle, now that has me curious… Let’s say Garrett’s value alone is a 1st round pick in the 20s, a mid round pick, and a young player on a rookie deal. Would you take a far lesser return, let’s say a 3rd round pick; if you can offload 50+% of Watson’s remaining money owed?

Just making it known that I did preface that it’s a pipe dream… In a hypothetical trade for Garrett I’d offer up the 2025 1st, Dallas Turner, and whatever mid round pick it takes to get a deal done. I don’t think the Vikings are realistically in on the opportunity, but the idea of acquiring an All Pro caliber DL/EDGE is interesting

I heard a line on the Purple Insider podcast tonight and it’s so true. Players #2-53 are determined by the GM and HC. Player #1 is determined by ownership and that’s the starting QB.

Tom P is back pedaling a little bit with his take today instead of his last couple appearances on KFAN. Previously he was more confident about Darnold coming back on potentially a multi year deal. The franchise tag and trade is still my preferred method to get something in return vs. him going to FA for nothing in return.

This is a great point. The last CBA debacle was a clear players vs. owners debate. This one coming up in 2027 will likely be between the large market owners vs. medium/small market owners. And they may take the entire year to sort it all out.
