  1. I was in Vegas less than a month ago and took the under on the Twins (83.5 at the time), over on Dodgers (101.5 wins) and over on the Cubs (85.5 wins)
  2. My bold prediction is the Dodgers breaking the modern day wins record of 116 by the 2001 Mariners. They’re going to be a freight train that can’t be stopped.
  3. Channel 1261 for us on Xfinity just announced!
  4. First of all, great blog post! As far as things they can do to win back fans, man, I think that ship has sailed. They’ve made so many poor short term cash grab decisions that made the fan experience worse. We’ve seen how they operate for decades… What’s an apology or temporary discounted food going to do? We know they will never push for a title even when the stars line up perfectly. They made their bed, now they have to lay in it. Fan morale won’t improve until the Pohlads are gone for good
  5. The attendance issue isn’t going away as long as they continue owning the team. It’s going to be another summer with a half full Target Field unfortunately.
  6. Oh boy. More Dobnak mop up work this year.
  7. Interested buyer: The nephew doesn’t have his own car? Pohlads: We gave him a Ford Taurus a few years ago. Figured there was no way he could damage it. But he ended up crashing into a tower and bankrupted the radio station nearby. He really likes this car though!
  8. That request alone shows how deeply unserious the Pohlads are about selling anytime soon. It’s a non starter for any interested buyers.
  9. It’s best to leave satire and comedy to the professionals. Or at least have Randball’s Stu review your work to double check if there’s actual comedy in the post.
  10. Jeffers is in the upper echelon of hitting for catchers so I agree with you there. I’m not a huge fan of him at DH. Hopefully he appears in that spot less than the 25 starts he had in 2024.
  11. Yeah I like Wallner a lot, and think he’s going to break out this season. 30+ HRs with an OPS above .875. Correa and Buxton I feel confident in them hitting in the .800s for OPS. Maybe one of Larnach and Miranda takes a step forward… Beyond that it could get ugly for the offense.
  12. We’re gonna need to win a lot of low scoring games early on in the season…
  13. A 24 year old man with chronic back injuries. We really know how to pick them here in Minnesota.
  14. If I could cancel Xfinity I would… I hate them with a fiery passion. Unfortunately I have no say in the matter. Xfinity is bundled in with my condo’s HOA fees so I’m paying for it whether I use cable or not.
  15. I’m pretty confident we’re going to be scrambling on Opening Day to find out which channel it’s on for Xfinity and DirecTV. MLB’s dropping the ball on giving advance notice so we can prepare.
  16. I doubt it. They’ll probably remain firm on pricing throughout the year… Maybe a special price just for September baseball.
  17. Personally I’m waiting until opening day to see if they negotiate a deal with Xfinity and other cable/satellite providers. If there isn’t any clarity on that by opening day, then I will look into paying the $100 for Twins.tv. It’s lame that we are 8 days from opening day with no real update from MLB. But last year the Padres and Diamondbacks were in the same boat and an announcement was made on opening day that they’ll be on cable.
  18. I really believe they’re going to break the Mariners’ modern day wins record of 116 wins.
  19. Winning solves a lot of things. The Twins need to win early and often when the regular season begins.
  20. I guess but why keep him when it’s proven time and time again he can’t stay healthy?
  21. Buxton’s injuries have been all over his body for flukey and non-flukey reasons. Lewis’s injuries have all been focused on his legs. Which doesn’t bode well down the road.
