  1. Thunder wins the championship in 5 games or less. The Pacers aren’t even close to their level.
  2. Not probably, it’s the only path one of these leagues can survive. The Kyle Sloters of the world won’t bring eyes to your product. So the UFL, XFL, or whoever wants to pop up in the future shouldn’t compete against the NFL for players. Unless they have unlimited money to burn at the beginning
  3. Calling it now. Tomlin’s gonna lose his mind and this will be the last year he is HC in Pittsburgh
  4. As expected, attendance and TV ratings took a dive in year 2 of the UFL. How many more times do we need to confirm that no one cares to watch poor quality football with NFL castoffs? So I have an another proposal for the UFL… 4 NFL teams combine their practice squads together to create an 8 team minor league operation. The 8 teams play a 10-12 game schedule which begins after NFL rosters are finalized. Play the games sometime in the middle of the week in the fall, and you’ll probably catch the interest of fans who want to see their development guys playing real snaps.
  5. Finished up work and turned on the game. Whelp I think I’ll take my dog for a walk instead
  6. She took a big L this offseason for sure. I’m sure Rodgers has a darkness retreat in Egypt already scheduled for July and August so he’ll miss training camp too
  7. OTA’s must be over for Pittsburgh because Rodgers finally signed a 1 year deal today.
  8. Currently beating a big city team as our dear friend Peter would say
  9. The A’s appear to have done it again rebuilding in relatively short time after a fire sale. There’s real talent on their team. Like Wilson on 2B currently and Soderstrom
  10. Should have put /s at the end… I don’t care and was agreeing that the article he was referencing was ridiculous
  11. Now I’m not sure whether to be upset that we saved $4,000 on McCrusher or upset that we’re wasting $4,000 on Festa now. Either way, “every minor and major league player is paying attention”
  12. Oh fun I just saw the Correa news. Cool, cool, cool.
  13. Larnach recent HR against a LH aside, I’d rather have Wallner get the nod over him.
  14. Concur. These are fun discussions. With Larnach, he’s alright, but leaves more to be desired at the corner OF spot. I’m an Emma Rodriguez believer and think he can provide more upside than a 115 OPS+. So I’m looking at trade opportunities as early as July, but most likely in the offseason.
  15. Evidently I can’t read. I thought Tanner Schobel was coming up to the Twins but he was promoted to AAA. Carry on.
  16. In theory that sounds good to be average across the board, then maybe they develop one trait to be great. That would be a valuable ball player. However, I’m guessing they end up like Nick Gordon more often than a valuable MLB player.
  17. I may be misremembering, but wasn’t Lee one of those high floor kind of draft prospects? It kind of feels like the Nick Gordon pick at 5 overall. Projected average tools across the board, but no trait that’s projected to be great.
  18. I’m most surprised about the 22% increase on ESPN. Especially when they plan on dumping that content after the season concludes. Any ground gained with the 18-34 demographic is huge. I’ve got to imagine media outlets like Jomboy contributes to that growth. Manfred might end up as one of the best commissioners ever if he can navigate the sport through this TV transition and the upcoming CBA negotiations.
  19. You like Duran on our team? He’s not a stranger today. Escobar was performing pretty well on an expiring contract.
  20. The HOF committee did him so dirty. Couldn’t let the man know he’s a HOF player before he passed away. RIP to one of the best players to ever wear a Vikings helmet.
  21. Also, for the folks saying offer the QO and hope he turns it down… Paddack was an 8th round pick who has made $16 million in career earnings. The QO is going to be, what, $25 million next year? He would accept that in a heart beat.
  22. Either we have a pitching pipeline or we don’t… After 9 years I’d like to figure out if the pitching pipeline ™️ is real… Adams and Festa are 25, Cory Lewis turns 25 later this year, and Morris turns 24 later this year. These prospects aren’t spring chickens anymore. Let’s see what they can do.
  23. A mid market team like the Twins should always be looking to trade players on expiring contracts. Especially when there are guys in St Paul who can fill the void. This is a similar debate about Kepler last year. I wanted to trade him since Wallner was ready to take over his role full time. Instead we let him walk for nothing in return. We can’t keep missing these opportunities when money continues to be tight.
  24. Just read that the short king Peyton Eeles was activated from the IL tonight
