  1. I just checked....Jon Snow still knows nothing :-)
  2. It's hard to believe he was 2nd in MVP voting in '84. Ripken, Murray, Trammell, Mattingly, Boggs and Rickey Henderson. I'd have them all in front of Hrbek that year.
  3. He can't throw runners out nor can he frame pitches. Not sure what his defensive value is, but it can't be a lot.
  4. Grilled or sauteed onions on a burger or steak. YUUUUUUUMMMMMM!
  5. Fangraphs has an article entitled, 'Danny Valencia, Future met.'
  6. I think most GMs see a week like that and say nice week, but that's not who he is. if we can find someone to take him off our hands, that'd be great but I said a long time ago TR will keep him.
  7. Suzuki has raised his OPS 135 points in 9 games.
  8. Maybe he knows how highly paid players in Minnesota are talked about, and is trying to slow it down :-)
  9. That's assuming any moves happen, or any that means anything.
  10. The pitcher I enjoy watching pitch the most is Jose Fernandez.
  11. Before Hardy was traded, Gardy came out and said that even if Hardy was on the team, Casilla would compete for the shortstop position. Cause, you know, speed. He got his wish and oh boy, Casilla worked out great at shortstop...
  12. Kershaw is easily the best pitcher in baseball, no doubt.
  13. yes, but not many know about that and there's so much pushback on here for anything that isn't the most basic info that I didn't even bother showing that. I mean, we saw someone chide OPS+ on another thread when someone used it to compare OPS for players who played in different times and parks. :-)
  14. They must have just updated it, because when I wrote it, it said other-wise. Either way, neither looks reasonable.
  15. I'm sure most don't care, but BaseRuns says we should have 5 more wins (which would still have us last in the AL). For those who prefer Pythag, it says we should have 2 more wins than we have now. Additionally, for reasons passing understanding, we are projected to go 44-48 the rest of the way. I think whoever did that projection should take a pee test, but that's what's there.
  16. In 2014, Arcia's last year of being able to actually play with an regularity, his wRC+ was 109. Ortiz last year with us was 118. :-)
  17. Before the season started they did. Not almost halfway through the season :-)
  18. Should be higher. Like 1,000,000,000:1
  19. was that like 5 years ago?
  20. Suzuki has had some gifts, One was a result of his normal futility (the double). Bourjous just misplayed the single. Still take it though.
  21. Dick just said Rosario is actually drawing some walks. He's had 5 in like 125 PAs. 5.
  22. unfortunately, it's not played anywhere near enough for it to bother me.
