    He's only been in the league 4 years and his 2nd year was better than his first. Hard to say he's regressed three years in a row. In the two years he was really given time, his first two, he was young and hit fairly well. He actually improved off his rookie season during his second season. Then he was given 65 PA in 2015 after getting more than 400 in 2014. It's also hard to gauge how much he has declined since 2014 when he's only had 179 PAs since then. But that's the kind of chance one would expect a young player to get after having an OPS in the .750s his sophomore year.

    what was amazing was how Rosario managed an OBP under .290 last year while having a BABIP about 35 points higher than league average :-) Getting on base is so over-rated. Rosario will likely be a 4th OF for us in the future, since he can play CF.

    Loved last night's episode. Loved how Ramsay finally bit the dust. Loved the conversation between Dany and the Greyjoys along with Tyrion's conversation with Dany. Jon was Jon. He truly knows nothing, but he has honor, he is loyal and he is brave. I applaud those qualities. I have no problem rooting for characters like that. Often your strengths can also be your weakness. Ramsay found that out. The nights of the vale coming in led by my favorite character in the show. Can't wait to see how the leadership of the North turns out.

    I think the biggest problem with Santana is he can't field any position well, nor can he hit. I have faith that Arcia, if given he chance somewhere, can at least DH against righties and be productive. A team's backup CF shouldn't be an IF who can't hold down an IF job.

    love how it's working out horribly for them. almost hard to believe they are in 4th place in our division :-)

    My favorite part is when it's pointed out that even if Arcia goes somewhere, figures it out, and does well, it still won't make the decision the wrong one. Like the Hughes and Suzuki extensions were the right moves at the time, and even though they didn't work out (predictable as could be), neither of those moves showed the FO to be wrong either. This team has been very bad for a long time, both in performance and construction, yet it always amazes me how so many of their moves are the right ones. How can a team that makes so many correct moves be bad for so long? Worst team in baseball right now, in case anyone forgot.

    I'd argue that the learning part should be in the minors, but yeah. In any event, the epitome of this is Rosario, who, somehow, is apparently is 'more deserving' than Arcia, even though he takes horrendous at bats, can't get on base, and makes bonehead decision after bonehead decision.. BTW, Santana was, arguably, the worst player in baseball last year and isn't worth anything on this roster, unless you count being able to play poor defense at several positions while being a black hole on offense. Also, this article seems redundant. Seth already wrote an article defending this decision in his article announcing the move, though this one has the added chastising of fans who have a problem with it, which is fun. I can't imagine the comments being much different. An unneeded redundancy.

    I was, in no way, trying to defend this bullpen. It's horrible, inexcusably horrible. And yet, when looking at our offense, defense and starting pitching...

    Between offense, defense, starting pitching, and bullpen, our bullpen is our best feature. That's saying a lot.

    Happy Father's Day to all the fellow dads here! Argument/disagreements aside, I think every dad can agree that there is nothing in our lives that is better than being a dad!

    Why this weekend? The Twins losing to the Yankees is expected. It's always expected.

    We are very much lacking in major league starting caliber players. Wouldn't have one player on an ALL AL Central team, with the possible exception of Mauer. Maybe.

    TR, some fans, and Pohlad may THINK we could contend this year. They, along with some fans, were delusional to believe we would this year because of the one great month we had last year. For some, that one month masked how bad the team really was even though just a little bit of digging would have told them other-wise. We are not close to being contenders. We wont be next year either. This team has a long way to go and the 40 man is horrible constructed. Ending up 3 back for the 2nd wild card and one game over .500 was technically contending, but it doesn't really make one a true contender. Makes one a pretender.

    Players like Grossman don't come along every week? The Grossman we are seeing right now doesn't come along every week, but players like Grossman are almost always available.
