That's interesting. Problem is, I doubt that statement would be said about Trump protesters if they were doing the protesting had Clinton won. They would have all just been labeled uneducated white males who were racist and sexist.

I remember reading a lot of Clinton supporters having a good laugh at the idea that if Trump lost the Trump supporters would be protesting in the streets. They were saying something about being sore losers and other unsavory adjectives. Now look what's happening.

That certainly seems to be the opinion of a good chunk. In any event, those descriptions aren't exclusive to uneducated white males that are racist and sexist.

Well, let's try to figure this out. This demographic you point out would seem to be the group that would have a problem with the man who is in office right now and who was elected twice by pretty significant margins? I mean, for the most part, right? Now, America has about 38-39% white males, right? -Some aren't going to vote Trump because they are very much Dems. -Some aren't going to be uneducated (whatever level of education makes them uneducated) -Some aren't going to be racist. -Some aren't going to be sexist (and I bring up sexist because you made sure to say men, so by pointing that out seems sexist is another accusation). - Some aren't going to be some of those negative things. -Some aren't going to be a lot of those negative things. -Some aren't going to be any of those things. After taking them out, I have no idea what percentage of the 38-39% left are actually white, uneducated, racist and sexist, but I'm pretty sure it's nowhere near enough to outweigh all of the educated, non-racist, non-sexist white men when joined by white women and minorities of all sexes if they all thought she was the best choice. A lot of people seem unable to believe that maybe there are legitimate reasons why people don't want Hillary for President and it's not just uneducated racist sexist white males that have a problem with her. Between the two main candidates, I wanted Clinton, but I'm not going to say that the reason she lost was because of racist, sexist, white men, because if only that group voted for Trump, we'd be saying President-Elect Clinton. There had to be plenty of other demographics who also voted for Trump.

We really don't know f he was un-tradeable last year. To know that, we'd have to assume Ryan actually tried to trade him and it seems he didn't, by the quotes I remember.. The question is whether or not a healthy Plouffe goes back to something like 2014 or 2015 Plouffe. If so, 9M will be a bargain for him. Of course, seems most everyone wants Sano at 3B, so maybe we just roll the dice and take our chances by letting Sano play 3B all year.

Well some things we know. We know Ortiz won't win MVP or finish top 3 like some thought he might. That's a very good thing. We know Noah Syndergaard also won't finish top 3 in the NL Cy Young award (for reasons passing understanding). We know Sale won't finish top 3 in AL Cy Young either.

Which still puts him lowest on the team.

What ever happened with that investigation? Last I heard there were conflicting stories, inconsistency with the girlfriend's story herself, and no evidence. I have no idea whether more stuff came out afterwards. Do you know if more did?

Yeah, with our commitment to having the worse defense possible, I concur with having our best defensive 1B, who gets on base better than practically anyone on our team, sit in favor of either the FA signing hat was so bad he had to go down to AAA (Park) or the guy who had a nice 18 games in June and then went back to being what he was in 2015 (Vargas) :-) Unfortunately, it seems the best we are going to get out of Mauer is very good OBP and high quality defense. We make him our main DH, we take anyway one of the two things he has left of value in his game, and replace him with inferior defenders.

Makes no sense to try and acquire other players who might be good enough to switch out at the deadline so we can get more prospects. The plan is to wait until our powerhouse farm system, along with the top 5 draft picks we're going to be getting for the foreseeable future, to makes us contenders. Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock.

I loved when Rizzo was there with Ross in the dugout and Ross was trying to calm him a little bit. At one point, Rizzo buried his head in Ross' shoulder. Big example of men being boys :-)
