  1. As Gleeman and the Geek talked about recently, it is time to pool our money together! 🤣
  2. I have said this over and over, I will never understand why the MLBPA is not open to a salary cap and a salary floor. Wait, I know why. No matter what they say about caring for all players, they only care about the top 1% that gets the 10 year 400 million deals. A cap and floor would make the game in general so much more even and better, but unfortunately we will never see it.
  3. I am pretty sure that is the one. Thank you
  4. Can someone help refresh my old man memory on the ticket app that Gleeman and Bonnes advertise on the podcast.
  5. I switched to a IPTV provider years ago because of this and I don't regret it at all.
  6. Could a chunk of sausage be behind the Twins offensive turn around and win streak? 🤣 Baldelli's Interview on this Hilarious!
  7. Agreed. It was a very good read and a very good story on his history and Twins history.
  8. Sano made the opening day roster for the Angels. Here's hoping he can get his game back.
  9. My guess is most of the games have not been on TV at least Twins TV. Today's game was, but it was Atteberry and Gladden calling it. As far as black out, go here https://www.mlb.com/live-stream-games/help-center/blackouts-teams and type in your zip code to find out what teams you can't watch. I live in NW Iowa and here is a list of what I can't watch: Twins Royals White Sox Cubs Cardinals Brewers I had to go a round about way to be able to watch games. Pretty much a joke, but hopefully this gets taken care of in the next year or so.
  10. I noticed this as well. I wonder if it is because 1)minimal cameras due to spring training and 2)it was basically the Radio broadcast paired with TV. Didn't care though, this is only the 3rd game I have been able to watch this spring and I am just happy to watch Twins baseball. BTW, tomorrow's game is on sportsnet.
  11. I wish I lived closer to the Twin Cities, I would jump all over that deal.
  12. When they talk about players starting to get towards the end of their "prime" in their late 20s/early 30s and they are the same age as my kids I feel old. When that same thing happens and it is my Grandkids instead of my kids, I will feel really old.
  13. It looks to me like they wanted an OF that could play all 3 spots. If Buxton goes down (or when like in the past). I think Martin takes the larger role in CF.
  14. I was going to say the same thing. Everyone screams because the front office doesn't do anything. They trade for a 4th outfielder and a prospect and everyone is screaming about the prospect they gave up. (BTW, purely subjective, but Gleeman had him ranked as the #20 prospect in the Twins system.). They basically traded prospect for prospect and got an MLB outfielder thrown in.
  15. Living in Iowa, I can't watch the Twins, Cubs, Royals, White Sox or Cardinals on MLB TV
  16. Right click and press translate, it is not that hard to do. Very good article.
  17. That would not surprise me. The front office seems to have a pretty good relationship with Boras (which is a good thing because he has a lot of clients on the roster) and as we get closer to spring training they may be able to work out a shorter term deal.
  18. It was a very fun team to watch every day. The characters on offense were a blast and the pitching staff was better than expected. The Kelly and Gardenhire days were small ball teams and it was great to finally see the twins step away from the small ball and follow the long ball philosophy.
  19. Nothing real surprising in the Article. Provus will get TV and Attebury will get Radio.
  20. I would have liked to see Gray stick around because he was a fun pitcher to watch. He was like a bulldog on the mound, never giving up. That said, the Twins couldn't have played it any better. You gave up a late first round pick for him, got 2 good years out of him with one being really good and you get a late first round pick back for losing him. Granted, we won't know the true outcome for years because of the youth of the player they traded and whoever they draft, but it worked out ok and I am fine with them not signing him for that kind of money at his age.
  21. I know it sounds like a very dumb question and a very dumb idea, but hear me out. Buxton did not play a single out in the field last year. He also just underwent a 2nd knee surgery and it sounds like the knee may be a chronic issue. Kirilloff is going to be having shoulder surgery and while the team seems fairly confident he will play, the article posted here definitely raises some questions. Yes, Buxton's biggest weapon in the field is his ability to cover ground, but who knows if that will ever come back. He has the bat to play the prototypical 1B and I am assuming that would be easier on his knee that any OF position. It could possibly get him in the field more and free up the DH spot. Thoughts?
  22. I feel the same way with this team as I did after the 09 Vikings season with Favre. I was disappointed that they lost, but I was more disappointed that I could no longer watch that team because it was so fun to watch. This team with the bulldog mentality of Gray and watching the younger players grow was fun to watch. Unlike some years in the past, you always thought this team had a chance to win the game, no matter the opponent. The good thing is that most of these players should return next year. And let me also say that I was pessimistic with the rule changes, but it truly did improve the watchability of games in general. I haven't watched as many baseball games overall in a long time as I did this summer and that is because they were more watchable.
  23. Very well written. Am I disappointed, yes. But I am more disappointed that the season is over. It was a fun season to watch baseball. It will be interesting to see the direction this team goes because the pieces are all there if they can continue the arc.
  24. I think this article sums it up pretty well: Twins winning and having fun while doing it, tout their clubhouse chemistry
