    Excellent! Ya win some, ya lose some. Move on. By the way, trading expiring contracts for prospects is not comparable to trading Duran or Varland. The Twins probably won't make the post season. And if they squeak in, they will be out quickly. Plan for the future.

    Who created this distinction? In all the years I played, if you had control, it meant you could throw the ball where you wanted. If you had command, you took over the bridge from Captain James Tiberius Kirk.

    An extension should be a no-brainer. On the surface, it appears riskier than it really is. If the Twins can get Bradley to sign a 8-year, $120M contract, that would put his end-of-contract (age 32) salary at about $25M. That sounds excessive, right? But that's 8 years from now. $25M for a pitcher in 2035 might be what a middle of the road starter or a slightly above average reliever would be signed for. Baseball salaries always go up, never down.

    There is only one situation where the Twins lose control of an asset: they try to sneak Jackson through waivers. Roden and Martin have options. Bring Jenkins up now and start the youth movement. To me, the only move is to trade everyone with an expiring contract or who won't agree to a extension. Trade them all for MLB-ready pitching.

    Get rid of potential MLB players (Rodriguez, Rojas, Gonzales, etc) all for the possible opportunity to be eliminated quickly from the playoffs. Great idea. Trade Jeffers, Larnach, Bell, Ryan (if he won't agree to an extension), Martin, and Keaschall for high potential prospects. My only caveat to trading all of the above is that the value of the return is significant. Then bring up the prospects and start planning for 2027. And bring me another beer. The third inning is underway. 🥶

    I am old. And I liked the format. Once a year, I fly back to Minnesota and spend a couple days with high school and college teammates (hockey) from over 60 years ago and it is a blast reliving (or being reminded of) amusing things that happened back in the days of playing goalie without a mask). Having not played baseball beyond high school, I would like to hear about the difficulty of moving from the infield to the outfield, RF to LF, or SS to 3B. I've never done it so a professional's view is appreciated. I do agree with some that a little more current situation broadcasting would be nice, but almost everything you need to know is on the screen at all times.

    I have three questions about your recap. 1. How did Quad Cities score 7 runs in the BOTTOM of the first and 4 runs in the TOP of the second? 2. How did Adam Falinski pitch a scoreless sixth, gave up the winning run in the ninth, but only pitch 1 2/3 innings? 3. If "With one out, Quentin Young walked. Bass stole his 19th base. On the same pitch, Young went to second on a wild pitch", why did Bass get credit for a stolen base and Young only got credit for advancing on a wild pitch? Just curious.

    I can picture an outfield of Wallner in left, Gallo in center, and Sano in right. And they would hit third, fourth, and fifth. And now I feel ill and need to use the bathroom. 😝

    Just an observation... This is about the third time I've watched a Twins game since Keaschall moved to the outfield and the first time I've seen him have to make a strong throw to second. Why is he in right field? With that arm, he has to be in left field. He short-arms the throws and tooses them in sidearm. That is NOT a right field arm.

    Quad Cities must have set some kind of baseball record when they scored seven runs in the bottom of the first and four more in the top of the second. Amazing!

    Maybe after the draft and the trading deadline, the minor league pitching might look better???
