    If the Twins had not played 17 innings the night before/day of this game, they would not have felt the need to leave Gibson in so long when it was obvious by the second inning that he didn't have his stuff. The minute he got into trouble. If this had been a do or die game in a playoff, Gibson would have been removed in the fifth when Martinez and Devers got on base and the ballgame would have turned out differently. A rested, experienced bullpen would have taken over quickly.

    You are correct Chief. I really want to see him get a chance at pitching in the majors. He is a man who has high moral values...but then so do I, but I can't pitch very well.

    Great pitchers' duel tonight. I enjoyed it very much. Gibby was awesome all night. Do any of you think he should have gone out to pitch the ninth inning? I would have liked that...but Rocco wants to win ball games. I guess that is the purpose of the game. And win they did.

    Last 28 days = ERA 1.88; 14.1 innings; 17 SO; 4 BB; 1.116 WHIP; 10.7 SO/9. This looks solid to me...although I admit it is a small sample size...but it is the "last" 28 days.

    Dear Derek and Thad, Thanks for building a winning team. All of us at the Twins Daily family are really enjoying this season. I don't want you to think we're not grateful, because we are incredibly grateful for, and complimentary of, the work you are doing for the Twins. However in order to increase the Twins' chances of winning the 2019 World Series, we feel it is imperative to ask you to do one more thing.
