  1. Con. He hasn't signed one. (I suppose some may argue this is a pro... Definitely he is a Pro.)
  2. Hey! Don't knock Restovich. He is a generational talent! How many other players from Rochester are there? Next thing you know someone'll be besmirching Darrell Thompson... (sure, he ended up with the Packers, but he did alright by the Gophers)
  3. Now i am wondering what proverbs pertain to long relievers...
  4. Is he unavailable? I haven't been paying attention. And isn't he a member of la bomba squad (direct article added to empasize the singularity of the noun*) *okay, i admit it. also to evoke the the song...
  5. I take it as perhaps the best sign available? With flexibility to fit multiple places? And sufficiently mature he'll be competitive off the bench? And if they 60manned both the players we speculate they would, we got one place to make waiver claims. Anyway, we'll see how it plays out soon enough.
  6. Realistic expectations? Twins will find a place for him to work through things, either towards his old stuff, or reinventing a repoitoir if he can't do quite what he wa doing. Given that, he won't be added back to the 40 until they are ready to use him, and pretty sure he can have success. Personally, i think he'll be worth having by the end of the summer, even if he is still not 40 manned, but getting to be an elder statesman in the minors, much like Albers. And yeah, i wouldn't count him out. He still has unfinished business against the Yankees in the playoffs...
  7. And one aspect this article doesn't address... What does a sluggish reporter mean to the upcoming season? I am positing his breaking news rate will actually increase by 2,5 stories anove replacement, as he gets himself into awkward situations, and Minnesota Nice will come into play amongst team and management alike...
  8. Or possibly the thrive off of Fargo's booming tourist industry? I've always wanted to see one of the tallest manmade structures in the world.. I don't suppose we're allowed to climb on it, though.
  9. A vastly under rated word! I approve. And for whatever reason, i here the word in the voice of Heckle and/or Jeckle, so i can assume the approve too. Not that anyone approves of Heckle and Jeckle... Yes, quite.
  10. I don't know... I presume there is someone out there who likes big macs so much, he might already be in heaven if he got to eat one every day... Is this heaven? No it's McDonalds. Would you like fries with that?
  11. Whatever happened to Ponderosa?
  12. I have confidence in Mr. Fraley. A writer's only beat if he thinks he is.
  13. Weren't we talking about Jeopardy? What is questiong all those answers about meteors, Alex? (wait isn't it someone new since i last paid attention?)
  14. Wait... Is it hammer time already? Or should i stop? (hoping for an answer of yes on 1. no on 2)
  15. It is important to keep your satires properly inflated, especially in cold weather.
  16. And lose Alexy to the White Sox on a waiver claim. You will be missed!
  17. Two questions: What is so high about the alert these people are on? And why are they so willing to share? I'm not sure this Tom Hanson, 58 has our best interest at heart, mixing July 4th with Xmas. Next thing you know, kids will be putting lit fire crackers in their stockings or under the tree. Or getting needles allover the american flag, ol' stars and stripes.
  18. Probably Dobnak, 2 years ago. Er... um... gosh. Who'd we get a year ago from the Padres? Coulda sworn we extended him a few weeks ago. Right after avoiding arbitration. On the tip of my fingers... started with a P but wasn't Pagan.... I foresee a use of the edit post feature in my near future... Paddack! How could i forget him? While i am looking it up, perhaps i should confirm we actually extended him... In the meantime perhaps it is often the pitchers betting on themselves and not taking extensions offered. Dobnak and Paddack were modest extensions with reason to have a realistic assessment of injury risk as t affected thier value?
  19. I am on board with giving him a chance to start. Not sure how best to make it a possibility, while managing the risk of injury, but it would be nice to at least consider.
  20. I am waiting for the time-traveler's special. Go back and pay a penny to the senators in 1915 for your season tickets this year. Don't own your own time machine? We'll uber you to the game of your choice for an immodest premium.
  21. I don't know, the bullpen buddies might skyrocket in value... At least until someone catches on. How much would some people pay for a chance to bean a Yankee?
  22. I knew who's on first, but i didn't know he had racist proclivities. Abbott must have omitted the fact.
  23. Meh, walkmen had belt clips. Typewriters don't. Glad my curiosity is shared. Does the typewrite go in the basket in front, or the rack on the back?
  24. The real question is how many Cy Youngs and WS rings Jimenez will win over his HOF career?
