  1. Speaking of which, there is a rumor of a new Henry Jones Jr movie?
  2. I'm pretty sure if you google the term "rickroll", you'll find out. Be sure to get a typewriter with "mythic resonance", and let me know how you manage to carry it on your unicycle.
  3. Is there actually such a song about the ways of preparing a bird for mastication? Or was i not the only one trying to graft crow recipes onto 50 ways to leave your lover? Stuff in beak leeks. Give the drumsticks licks. Glazing the feet sweet. Just don't retch up catsup. But i digress... Must remember, not a game thread. Anyway., i think those of you considering a crow dinner are taking the wrong tack. You should start complaining how we're never going to keep both Byron or Correa healthy, or win any world series. If it worked once, it is worth trying again.
  4. So that's what i've been doing wrong all these years.
  5. What's wrong with biblical analogies? From Moses to Sandy Koufax: 3,000 years of beautiful tradition.... (and i suppose we shouldn't bring up 'Nam either?) Is there Ralph's anywhere round here?
  6. Point of information? '91 was only 30 years ago... Well, 31 if you are into splitting hairs.
  7. What about ravens? Over many a quant and curious volume of forgotten lore?
  8. And personally, i was trying to think of making an offer he can't refuse... Probably because he never hears it, but alternatively by clever use of paradox, as in please indicate acceptance of this offer by refusing this offer, or refusing to respond to this offer.
  9. Personally, i miss the spicy sauce on 2x gyros...
  10. Where is Gilligan's Island when ya need it? Or does their plight too closely resemble a Twins season? "The weather started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed..."
  11. Que sera sera. Glad he spent some quality time as a Twins, and got to know our prospects and vice versa. And who knows how the off season will play out? Will Dozier really be traded to the Dodgers in the next 24 hours?
  12. I remember this fondly from my youth, although my parents didn't let me try until just before we left. It was a quarter, and the limiting factors were how that they served an ounce or two sized cup at a time, and it was really cold. So i only had 6 or 7 before we had to go. I will always regret not finding my limits, but my parents probably have no regrets...
  13. I hypothesize these are fragments that have declared Autonomy, and claim their sovereign rights as new bones.
  14. Every now and again, cons are funny too.
  15. Lil' Abner reference evokes memory of a storyline therein' where the title character enters into a wager that a street with no cars on it can be crossed safely. I should remember more details, but i don't want to spoil it for ya, leastwise if it would take anyone's mind off of Buxton's woes.
  16. But as a conjunction usually indicates a contrast., as in "The but in the sentence above promises a refreshing contrast, but disappoints." (i like big buts)
  17. Rumor has it that it is two stains that have blended together: ketchup forms East Germany, and spaghetti sauce fills out West Germany. And there is a pearl of Horse Radish sauce from that one visit to Arby's where Berlin would be.
  18. Dear Captain Obvious, What does an overpay look like? To quote Han Solo... "I don't know, i can imagine a lot." Sincerely, Corporal Confused
