  1. Point of information? '91 was only 30 years ago... Well, 31 if you are into splitting hairs.
  2. What about ravens? Over many a quant and curious volume of forgotten lore?
  3. And personally, i was trying to think of making an offer he can't refuse... Probably because he never hears it, but alternatively by clever use of paradox, as in please indicate acceptance of this offer by refusing this offer, or refusing to respond to this offer.
  4. Personally, i miss the spicy sauce on 2x gyros...
  5. Where is Gilligan's Island when ya need it? Or does their plight too closely resemble a Twins season? "The weather started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed..."
  6. Que sera sera. Glad he spent some quality time as a Twins, and got to know our prospects and vice versa. And who knows how the off season will play out? Will Dozier really be traded to the Dodgers in the next 24 hours?
  7. I remember this fondly from my youth, although my parents didn't let me try until just before we left. It was a quarter, and the limiting factors were how that they served an ounce or two sized cup at a time, and it was really cold. So i only had 6 or 7 before we had to go. I will always regret not finding my limits, but my parents probably have no regrets...
  8. I hypothesize these are fragments that have declared Autonomy, and claim their sovereign rights as new bones.
  9. Every now and again, cons are funny too.
  10. Lil' Abner reference evokes memory of a storyline therein' where the title character enters into a wager that a street with no cars on it can be crossed safely. I should remember more details, but i don't want to spoil it for ya, leastwise if it would take anyone's mind off of Buxton's woes.
  11. But as a conjunction usually indicates a contrast., as in "The but in the sentence above promises a refreshing contrast, but disappoints." (i like big buts)
  12. Rumor has it that it is two stains that have blended together: ketchup forms East Germany, and spaghetti sauce fills out West Germany. And there is a pearl of Horse Radish sauce from that one visit to Arby's where Berlin would be.
  13. Dear Captain Obvious, What does an overpay look like? To quote Han Solo... "I don't know, i can imagine a lot." Sincerely, Corporal Confused
  14. This is roughly what i remembered, thoughit feels strange that last person in round 10 is encouraged to get 149k but first in round 11 jumps down to $125k. Does it go the other way as well? If we sign a 1X round pick for 100k, do we get $25k more we can offer someone else?
  15. Like epicycles? Ptolemy would be proud.
  16. How many rounds total? Is 20 it? And how soon do the pending icons start changing in the tracker? If no one is on base, less than 2 strikes, could they have the catcher play in the field as an extra fielder? Almost surprised this doesn't happen already considering how baseball optimizes for certain situations...
  17. Ditto. Also "sous vide". I learned a lot of "haute cuisine" (another new bit of vocabulary) today! Wait, there's learning afoot?! "We aughta file that under educational, too" ps. if i select text through the interface from someone quoting someone else (like "Minnesota sushi" above) to respond to it, it attibutes it to ashbury rather than richie... now i ask ya, is that right?
  18. W.E. Bowman suggests next salad should include Binder's Butter Beans.
  19. It is indeed a rarified air of taunting. What do we gain from a blow out? It is like sailing across the wind and always accelerating instead of running with the wind, and only being able to go as fast as the wind. This is like running with ankle weights. And wrist weights. This is the "jump good" style of management. "Life of the Repo Man is always intense."
  20. Not thinking hard, nor holding my breath. Will imagine it after '23 if he has exercised neither of his opt outs. And then... Um... Probably does depend on how these two seasons play out.
