  1. I actually could see Escobar returning to Arizona, but even if he doesn’t, I really don’t see Falvine bringing Esco back. While don’t think we should be chasing Bryce or Manny, I don’t think we should be bottom feeders when we have a such a historic free agent class right in front of us. As faithful Twins fans, we should expect nothing more, yet nothing less, than Elvis Andrus and Adam Ottavino.
  2. This may be me just me speculating, but if Gibby finishes the season with 200IP/200K, I believe there’ll be an overwhelming amount of pressure to deal him. And it may be too much for Falvine to pass up on.
  3. Signing Murphy would be good move for a “legit” contending team with core players to back it up, unfortunately the Twins aren’t at that point yet. If I’m being honest with myself, I’d rather we sign Escobar or and Josh Harrison to hold down the fort until Gordon and Lewis establish themselves as major leaguers.
  4. Maybe they passed due to Rodney’s reputation as a pitcher.
  5. Well, Ervin is playing for the Twins, so that could also explain his performance as of late... Also, maybe the M’s passed on Rodney because they’re looking for a middle reliever like Reed, as well as preparing to move Ramirez to the bullpen.
  6. Maybe I’m wrong, but I were Dipoto I’d make a trade for Santana, not only because of the name value, but the fact that Seattle needs all the help they can get (it’s called depth). Also, Erv’s health “issue” isn’t, and shouldn’t be, comparable to Erasmo Ramirez’s shoulder woes. Besides, Erv’s finger and performance should only get better with each and every start removed from surgery.
  7. Pleasd FO, just promote Lewis and Kirilloff to AA already!!! Or at least promote Larnach and Jeffers to Fort Myers soon...
  8. I think there just waiting till Erv can go 7 innings, then they’ll flip him to the M’s for a C level prospect.
  9. Bold prediction here, but despite Sano’s struggles, I really do see him being traded in the offseason, especially after Machado signs.
  10. Dear FO, Please send Hildy down to AAA to work out of this funk, it’s not like we’re contending anymore.
  11. Despite his diminished velocity, I could easily see the Mariners claiming Erv, given the state of the wild card race and their current rotation. Realistically, I think a prospect like Cesar Izturis Jr. would be a solid return.
  12. Instead of jumping the gun with Rooker, anyone in favor of signing Hanley to a 1 year deal next year? And we can always flip him at the deadline if need be.
  13. I wanna see if Nick Anderson (MN native) can solidify himself in a high leverage role in the pen.
  14. Our depth: Slegers Gonsalves Stewart Thorpe Graterol Littell Duffey
  15. Gibby and Pressly to L.A. for Keibert Ruiz.
  16. While it’s been well reported that the Dodger’s are looking for a high leverage reliever to be the bridge to Kenley Jansen, some are also saying they could really use another reliable and durable starter without injury concerns, unlike Clayton Kershaw, Alex Wood, and Rich Hill (maybe their entire rotation). That being said, I believe the FO should be actively pursuing a deal with LA, sending Pressly and Gibson for Keibert Ruiz.
  17. With Britton off to New York, the Twins should definitely be looking into dealing Pressly (packaged with either Mauer or Escobar) to the Astros or Dodgers. While it would hurt lose a future closer in Pressly, acquiring a prospect like Yordan Alvarez or Keibert Ruiz would be worth it in the long run. With the way the game is trending, Pressly is our best trade chip, we need to capitalize on it.
  18. At best, Dozier will net an organization’s top 30 reliever at best, not Corey Ray.
  19. I really don’t get the Gibby bandwagon. Yes, I know we’ve been waiting a long time for “this Gibson,” but it isn’t like he’ll be entering free agency at 26 (like Machado), he’ll be 31. And even if he does carry this level of play into 2019, we might have to overpay in 2020 (offseason) to keep him around. The reality is, he blossomed too late to be apart of the youth movement.
  20. While it may not be possible, or realistic, the FO should “at least” be looking to getting Rooker, Lewis, Kirilloff, Gordon, Navarreto, and Wade all in Target Field by September.
  21. I like Gibson, but I’m still not completely sold. I mean, what if this is just a career year for him? The Yankees have the biggest need for a starter, and one of the better systems, sooo I’d say (realistically) sell high on Gibby for Domingo German and Dillion Tate.
  22. Maybe we should also consider dealing Hildenberger and Pressly (along with Gibson) if we really want to get a worthwhile return. It’s time to cash in while we can, because rentals aren’t worth anything anymore (unless you’re Manny Machado).
  23. Hopefully Erv pitches his way out of Minnesota (and onto a contender).
  24. Molitor managing? That’s funny. All “jokes” aside, Mollie’s the one who’s really making the on-field decisions, not Falvine, sooo don’t blame analytics for the lack of “small ball.” Blame our manager’s incompetence.
