  2. Anyone up for heckling/booing Molitor at a home game?
  3. Updates: (NYY) (RHP) Domingo German, (RHP) Dillion Tate <—> Gibson (OAK) (SS) Richie Martin, (RHP) Carlos Ramirez <-> Odorizzi (STL) (DH) Jose Martinez <—> Rodney
  4. When it comes to free agency this offseason, I believe we should only be looking to sign Wilson Ramos and Ervin Santana. Nothing less, nothing more. I say this because I feel we should be saving for extensions and serious free agent pursuits when we’re contenders again. With the influx of talent and depth “I expect” to be aquired by the end of this year’s trade deadline, there “should” be no need to make pointless signings.
  5. If we can’t beat KC we’re sellers, right? (STL) © Andrew Knizner, (RHP) Jordan Hicks <—> Sano (ATL) (RHP) Touki Toussaint <—> Rodney/Pressly (MIL) (LHP) Kodi Medeiros, © Mario Feliciano <—> Dozier (NYY) (RHP) Dillion Tate, (UTL) Brandon Drury <--> Gibson (ARI) (RHP) Jimmie Sherfy, (RHP) Emilio Vargas <-> Escobar (OAK) (SS) Richie Martin, (RHP) Bobby Wahl <—> Odorizzi (BOS) (LHP) Williams Jerez <—> Duke (WAS) (LHP) Sammy Solis <—> Lynn (LAD) (SS) Ronny Brito <—> Reed (*if healthy*)
  6. I guess you never know, but Milwaukee might be desperate/willing enough to deal Peralta. If not, I guess we’d all know why they lost out on the Machado sweepstakes (also a rental). MN’s got nothing to lose, and everything to gain, when it comes to dealing these rentals. The fact that I can’t say the same about the Brew Crew, a team that went “all in” to start the year (and still might not make the playoffs), means we “should” have leverage in making a deal with them.
  7. How bout Dozier and Esco for Freddy Peralta? I know we’d only be getting one guy, but Freddy looks legit, and will only get better.
  8. Not even “if” Jordan Hicks/Andrew Knizner/Junior Fernandez are on the table??
  9. While trading Dozier and Escobar is obvious, maybe the FO should consider moving Sano in the offseason, because I’m sure he’d net a large return if healthy.
  10. Is anyone for the idea of trading Sano in the offseason? Of course after he shows he’s a 100% again. Cuz if we’re really sellers we gotta at least consider moving him, because I know a healthy Sano could net a large return. Maybe Sano for the Card’s Jordan Hicks, Andrew Knizner, and Junior Fernandez?
  11. The Brew Crew could really use a veteran SP and an above average 2nd basemen right now after getting swept by Pittsburgh before the break. Maybe a package of Lynn and Dozier could bring back Freddy Peralta.
  12. Or we could “buy” right now, giving us the best shot possible to catch Cleveland. And if we fail, we can always return to being sellers.
  13. Maybe Toronto eats most, if not the entire contract, if we send back a quality prospect that’s irrelevant to our future plans, someone like Blankenhorn.
  14. As much as I want us to throw in the towel and sell, I’m just not sure anymore.... If we’re really gonna go for it, it’s gotta start with dumping Wilson and Morrison, and replacing them with competent veterans such as (catcher) Russel Martin and (RH power bat) Mark Trumbo.
  15. I don’t think flying back and forth from Rochester, across the country, can be good for a player’s development, or performance. We made that mistake with Vargas, and we’re doing the same thing to Moya and Busenitz. I’m fine with using our depth, but we gotta stop wasting options that don’t need to be wasted when we got other pitchers available like Jake Reed, Luke Bard, and Nick Anderson
  16. I’ll never understand why we signed Belisle. I mean what’s the point of having pitching depth when you don’t use it. This “veteran presence” dependency & the shuttling of major league ready relievers back and forth from Rochester has to stop. Our player development already sucks, and this isn’t making it any better.
  17. As long as we don’t toy with him as a starter like the Dodgers did, the Twins “should” be getting a younger version of Raisel Iglesias.
  18. While I agree with parting ways with Sano, I not even sure if Miami would have any interest in Sano. A better match would be sending Sano to St. Louis for Jordan Hicks.
  19. If the Twins are as serious about contending as they say they are, they have to show the willingness to do whatever it takes to acquire Realmuto and sign Machado for the 2019 season, no excuses. I’m sorry, but we shouldn’t expect anything less than a lineup like this next year. CF- Byron Buxton C- J.T. Realmuto SS- Manny Machado LF- Eddie Rosario 3rd- Eduardo Escobar 1st- Kennys Vargas (Maybe Hanley Ramirez?) DH- Mitch Garver 2nd- Jorge Polanco RF- Max Kepler
  20. I’d rather not give up Romero, wouldn’t Gordon, Gonsalves, and Thorpe be enough already?
  21. This may be stupidly optimistic, but what if we manage to sweep our way to the all star break with a 46-48 record? Would trading Gordon and Gonsalves for a legit game changer like Manny Machado be worth it? Playing him at SS (while moving Polanco to 2nd, Dozier to DH, and cutting Morrison) would only increase our chances of catching Cleveland and convincing him to stay. While I don’t see this happening, I do expect Falvine to pursue Machado over the winter.
  22. Probably could add Reed and Pressly to this list because I know playoff teams always have a need for high leverage bullpen arms.
  23. Is anyone else at the point where they wouldn’t mind seeing a bullpen game every 5 days. Would be a good way to introduce Andrew Vasquez, Nick Anderson, and Jake Reed into the league.
  24. How can Gibby be so overrated by Twins fans as a member of this rotation, yet be so underrated as a trade piece? Blows my mind, because honestly, I think the Yankees would deal for Gibby if it only meant losing Justus Sheffield. Same goes for Escobar and Pressly, because it seems that the Redsox would desperately like to have another option to set up for Kimbrel and the Phillies do have a need for a SS/3rd that won’t cost them as much as Machado would. In one for one deals the Twins could end up landing MLB ready talent like Justus Sheffield (NYY), Sixto Sanchez (PHI), and 2nd/3rd Michael Chavis (BOS).
