  1. The Twins are in trouble if Jorge Polanco is the third best prospect in the organization. Come on way too many errors for my liking at this point in the season(22). Why can't the Twins find a SS either through trades or the draft. Cristian Guzman & Greg Gagne are the only shortstops they have had in the last 30 years that you would acknowledge as quality players they have had play here. Clue me in if I missed someone.
  2. So what do you do with that guy playing there now? What's his Dozier? Can someone help me out.
  3. What better proof than the 20% baserunners thrown out by Sukuki. Billy Hamilton is not the only player to steal a base off him.
  4. Talking about speed look what Billy Hamilton did to Kurt Suzuki. 4 stolen bases. enough said Twins need a catcher who can throw out at least 40% of the baserunners not the 20% we are getting now.
  5. Byron Buxton makes me think of a 16yr who just got his license and is driving a sports car for the first time. Too much speed and still needs to learn how to control it. He will became a great player for many years when he can stay healthy.
  6. Ok, but how hard is it to understand you need to keep contact with the bag at all times. With instant replay these guys are toast when they can't control themselves.
  7. I know this will get buried and probably get a very few responses, but I will still ask this simple question. Why do so many players not know how to slide into a base without either getting hurt or simply over sliding the base. This has been a big frustration for me watching the Twins lately. You would think this could be corrected pretty easy but I will continue to wait for improvement. Come on Molitor teach these guys a simple fundamental of the game that they should have learned in their teens.
  8. Absolutely zero interest in any of those three players. The Twins need to finally find a catcher and someone who can play shortstop. Those are the two priorities they have to deal with in the offseason if not corrected by the trade deadline. Jorge Polanco and Danny Santana are not going to cut it. Way too many errors and that is all you need to say about that. Josmil Pinto has not lived up to his potential and Stuart Turner is not close to be ready.
  9. I would say Max Kepler. Not sure how I feel about the lack of power though. Or Adam Brett Walker bring me that huge bat to go along with Sano.
  10. His problem may have been that he was trying to hard to strike everyone out like all the other Royal relief pitchers. Bring him in and settle him down and maybe a decent asset in the pen. At least see if he would accept a minor league deal, which I doubt he would.
  11. What would be wrong with the Twins taking a chance on Jason Frasor to help shore up the bullpen.
  12. Nice to see he made to the majors. This just shows you where the Twins need to be spending some money. They need pitching coaches in the organization that can turn that chunk of coal into a diamond. So how many pitchers have left MN and went to Pittsburgh and with the right help turned their careers around.
  13. Hitting HR's doesn't mean you are dominating AAA. Pull up his stats for July and look at all the k's and just a few walks. I think it would be a waste just to bring him up and be a bat off the bench. The biggest thing against him is all the prospects that seem to be DH's. Kennys Vargas,Oswaldo Arcia, and Miguel Sano. He will be the next David Ortiz when the Twins can't figure out how to get the most out of him.
  14. would it be wrong to use the money to buy Mauer out of his contract and get a firstbaseman who can hit 30 hr, drive in 115, and hit .315 at least.
  15. Did you see how many hits he has in the last 9 games? 13 hits, one 4 hit game and a 2 hit game. The all or nothing approach might work in AAA and will not translate in the majors. I would love for Arcia to make it back to the majors.
  16. You beat me to it. I was going to write the exaxt same thing. The Twins need a catcher who can at least slow down a running team on the basepaths.(KC). Also, ir would be nice to have a better framer behind the plate to help out this staff.
  17. Maybe he has the same agent as Salvador Pérez and they can get a nice deal.
  18. Santana is clearly not a major league player at all. Nunez is playing good at the moment but what would happen to his numbers if he played regularly.
  19. I forgot to add I think this is the last year he has any options left so I would not be surprised by a move at some point.
  20. He will end up on an east coast team and getting a hitting coach that can tap his potential and turn him into a monster DH. Sounds like history repeating itself with the Twins giving up on a hitter.
  21. Sano may have more of a future at his current postion DH. What does it tell you when they have not given Plouffe a day off and inserted Sano into 3rd for at least a game. I would expect this to happen at least during the Baltimore series to see if he can handle it before we start trading away players for lottery tickets. Yes I said lottery tickets, that is all prospects are and most turn into nothing. I am not talking about Sano.
  22. So if they dealt Plouffe they we just slot Sano into 3rd base? If you want to be a playoff team you cannot weaken your defense that much. Plouffe is no superstar at 3rd but Sano is definately not an upgrade defensively.
  23. i thought there might be an announcement before tonights game. i guess i waas wrong
  24. I can't believe nobody said what the move is going to be already. I hate to say it Aaron Hicks will just be coming off the DL and activated. Dreams of Sano turn into the same old Hicks who is not worthy of being on the team.
