40 man roster explanation please

Could someone tell me how adding and subtracting players to/from the 40 man roster works? For example- let's say the Twins want to bring up Fryer, and therefore would need to add him to the 40 man. In addition, they DFA Herrmann and remove him from the 40 man. Fryer gets hurt or is ineffective, can they reverse everything in a month or so? Same with O'Rourke. Say he gets bombed, hurt, etc. Can they just remove him and add someone else?

Will Arcia ever see Target Field again?

Oswaldo Arcia hit his 4th homer of the season and drove in 2 runs for Rochester last night (2-K's as well). His average is up to .261. With an over crowded OF(Rosario, Hicks, Hunter, Robinson and Buxton to return(?) in a month or so) and Sano maning the DH position for now, will Ozzie ever see the green grass of Target Field's again?

J.O. Berrios-2015

His last name may not be May or Meyer, but J.O. (Jose) Berrios may be the Twins future ace. Drafted in the first round in the 2012 MLB June Ametuer Draft, the 6', 185 pound right hander out of Papa Juan High School in Bayamin, Puerto Rico has been on the fast track in the organization. In his short career, the 20 year old(5-27-94) has pitched well beyond his years. He began his career in 2012 in the GCL and in Elizabeton. 2013 was spent in Cedar Rapids. In 2014, he had stints in Fort Meyers,

Who gets cut?

We've all been following the happenings at ST and wondering, speculating who makes the final roster. Who is the CF, who is the back-up catcher, and who makes the roster in the pen. But what happens if those answers are: Fryer, Boyer, and Robinson? Who gets cut from the 40 man to make room for these guys?

Sid

After getting my daily dose of TD, I headed to the sports section of the Strib. That got me thinking, who in the heck has been writing Sid's column?

Need a roster spot? Why not Arcia?

Oswaldo Aria is one of my favorite Twins. When he came back up from his wrist injury, he brought energy, enthusiasm, and attitude along with his power stroke. Sadly, he has regressed big time in the month of June. In his last 10 games, here is his line, and it's not pretty: 2-32(.063) with 17 K's, with 0 runs scored and 0 RBI's. On the positive side, he does have one double and one walk. His defensive play borders on little- league material. I believe it was in the Brewer series (I could be wr

D. J. Baxendale

What's up with this guy? I was watching him last year, and he was absolutely lights out at Fort Meyers (something like 9-0) with a crazy low ERA. He was promoted to New Briton was was shelled! He started this year at New Briton again with the same results. I believe he was hurt, and sent back to Fort Meyers. Tonight he threw 6 scoreless innings. Is he a prospect or not?

Reactionary or Progressive?

The Gardy and TR era seem to have operated under the philosophy of "at least we know what we've got-good or bad." With that being said, this is some of the good and bad for our boys: K. Suzuki-good handler of pitching staff, contact hitter with little power, good character player, positive club house guy, clutch J. Mauer- perennial all-star, almost certain .300 hitter, lacks power stroke, adequate defensively B. Dozier-budding star, great defensive player, surprising power hitter, good base st
