  1. Not pretending to be an expert or know-it-all, but I watched Kepler against LHP last year, and you could just see the smooth swing and quick hands and you just KNEW he was going to turn it around.
  2. Honest question...brought about by commentary and how natural Romero looks...who actually has the better pure stuff, even in SSS? Is it Romero? Or perhaps a more "relaxed" Berrios who is an intense competitor?
  3. Thank you and Brian both. Texting on phone and watch on Galaxy Tab. Not seeing the option on my Android phone. May just have to play around.
  4. I know tech. But stupid on some of this stuff. Have pics. Can't find the "more reply options" part. (Sigh) Probably have to ask my son. Too bad. They are cute as hell. Lol
  5. Umm...Paxton is looking NASTY. Hating him for tonight is OK, right?
  6. Too bad this Romero kid doesn't have a good arm.
  7. Wish I knew how to post pics of my babies. Jealous of those who do. Naive or flat out stupid how to do it in a TD post.
  8. Interesting! Makes me wonder, just he just need to calm himself more behind the plate?
  9. Just saying, a young catcher with a good arm and potential bat with some warts might deserve the chance to be the #1 catcher at this time to develop, and might not be as poor behind the plate as some feel he is. Just something to consider is all.
  10. Point taken. And you're asking for too much work for me at this moment, lol. Just thought it was interesting.
  11. Was curious about something, and will probably post this in another thread for those who don't read GT, or at least not tonight, but spent WAY too much time researching a curiosity. There is a lot more to calling a good game and being a good catcher than a SSS. And a lot more than a SSS for a well pitched game. (Duh!) But for fun I took a look at games played since the start of the season in which the Twins pitched a shutout or a 1 run game. I apologize for not knowing the day Castro went on the DL. And these results also don't fully compliment said catchers true abilities. (Second Duh!). But I found this interesting. Beginning April 1st, the Twins have played 12 games that were a shutout or a 1 run allowed game. They are 11-1 in those games. Wilson bas caught 2 of those games in his brief time. Castro caught 3 of those games. Garver has caught 7. Just saying.
  12. Sorry, THIS is the post of the night! EVERY, SINGLE 1,001 TIMES I WATCHED THIS COMMERCIAL IT MADE ME LAUGH!
  13. Does that mean she's watching YOU? Or watching nothing at all? (Anyone old enough to read that and get an English Leather flashback? LOL)
  14. Just teasing your post. Welcome to my humor, which drips with sarcasm from time to time.
  15. Good news: Twins play tonight! Great news even when you consider there was no game yesterday. Bad news: They are playing a late west coast game. Even better news: (for all of our lovely readers) 10 hour+ day today. So with working tomorrow morning, the doxies, (speaking of dogs), and I will probably be in bed before the game is done and no-one will be subjugated to a full 3 hours of my ramblings.
  16. I thought there was a new moratorium on negative posts in the game thread?
  17. Lots of intelligent and witty banter! I must be in the wrong place.
  18. Long as you ARE dressed. Naked game thread typing just sounds so...wrong.
  19. Cats vs dogs? Can't we all just along?! (But seriously, dogs are better. They are the one "person" who loves you and is overjoyed to see you no matter how crappy a day you may have had)
  20. OK then, that changes the dynamics. We should at least see him come September then.
  21. I feel badly for Hughes, not only as a Twins fan for what it looked lime we found...right time and p,ace in his career, shades of Povano truth be told..,but he really seems like a good guy. Tip of the cap to Colon and what he's accomplished in his career. Not everyone was happy about the Twins bringing him on board last season, but you can't argue he was fun and that he didn't give the team a lift. With the rotation we have, giving credit to Lynn for his past and 2 of his last 3 starts being good, and with Santana and May comjng back and some interesting arms at Rochester, there wasn't room for Colon on this team. But I have to be honest, I kind of miss him.
  22. Going to disagree on Gonsalves and Littell slightly. Between DL stints and double headers, either could be seen before September. Agreed there is a crunch coming with Santana, May, Mejia and even Slegers. Still a lot of season to play out. But it's a nice problem to have! I actually like Garver and what I've seen, save for a few goofs. Given the primary job, I don't think Wilson is a horrible backup. Astudillo is rather interesting, but I honestly don't have a clue about his defensive ability. While I like Gordon and have faith he's going to be a very nice player, I wonder if we'll see him this season. Sano back, hopefully to stay, and Polanco back for the second half, I could see Gordon having to wait. I may be mistaken, but I don't believe he has to be added to the 40 man this next off season. Or am I incorrect on this?
