  1. Are they a good team? Does this really make a difference for them?
  2. It's not a GOOD trade.....does anyone think, now that they waited this long, that this matters this year? I don't "hate" TR.....doesn't mean I want him to be GM.
  3. ???? Jays are mostly acquiring long term assets back....mostly, not totally. The Astros are filled with young guys, this isn't some aging team.
  4. They traded Hu for this guy? What. The F? Just call up Duffey or Berrios or use May. Awful trade.
  5. Man, how do they keep big moves like this so secret, and out of the rumor mill? This wasn't on anyone's radar!
  6. I've never said they can't trade them, have I?
  7. If you wait to see who has no value.....how do you trade them for anything? That's the risk here, people (TR, imo) need to get over the fear of trading a guy that MIGHT be good.
  8. he doesn't hit HRs? He's already 22? His name is Max? the only way you trade him is for a legit MLB player with multiple years of control, imo.
  9. for Lucroy, I'm all in. Kepler and another prospect or two, sure. For a RP, I'm less excited.....but willing to listen. but he compared Kepler's CEILING to a stiff. And, Arcia is out of options. He's either here, or gone, next year.
  10. Please tell me something better is coming back.....Plouffe is a top 10 guy at his position. He should be netting a SS or C in AA or higher that you are virtually certain is a starter.
  11. that would be depressing.....is Buxton elite, like all the other top guys coming up this year, or not?
  12. I'm not sure what that has to do with my post, can you help me understand?
  13. Arcia is out of options after this year....Kepler has them. Again, that has huge value. I don't get this talk at all.
  14. Uh, Kepler's SLG is pretty high for a 22 YO in AA ball....... Defense? He plays CF, RF, and 1B. Ceiling is Stahoviak? Uh, no. Not close. Wow. Just, wow.
  15. that was me trying really, really hard to be nice to TR, and you killed it! Killed me being nice to TR? Why would you do that to me? I need a beer....* *that whole rant wasn't serious, for all you overly serious people......
  16. Kepler will not have proved anything, nor will Hicks. Yet you suggest trading one this off season? I don't disagree with maybe taking that chance, btw, but I'm not sure I understand this response.
  17. doing what with Buxton, Hicks, Rosario? there is no financial implication to playing Joe less, they pay him if he plays, or doesn't play. The key is to play the best players......
  18. then why do we read all the time that it is hard for a tall pitcher to repeat his delivery, and it takes longer for them to develop? There is a difference.
  19. He did deal for Shannon Stewart, didn't he? You'd think that when it works, you'd maybe try it again....
  20. We'll just disagree. And I'm ok with that. And no, your last paragraph does not logically follow from the theory.
