It's not a GOOD trade.....does anyone think, now that they waited this long, that this matters this year? I don't "hate" TR.....doesn't mean I want him to be GM.
If you wait to see who has no value.....how do you trade them for anything? That's the risk here, people (TR, imo) need to get over the fear of trading a guy that MIGHT be good.
for Lucroy, I'm all in. Kepler and another prospect or two, sure. For a RP, I'm less excited.....but willing to listen. but he compared Kepler's CEILING to a stiff. And, Arcia is out of options. He's either here, or gone, next year.
Please tell me something better is coming back.....Plouffe is a top 10 guy at his position. He should be netting a SS or C in AA or higher that you are virtually certain is a starter.
Uh, Kepler's SLG is pretty high for a 22 YO in AA ball....... Defense? He plays CF, RF, and 1B. Ceiling is Stahoviak? Uh, no. Not close. Wow. Just, wow.
that was me trying really, really hard to be nice to TR, and you killed it! Killed me being nice to TR? Why would you do that to me? I need a beer....* *that whole rant wasn't serious, for all you overly serious people......
Kepler will not have proved anything, nor will Hicks. Yet you suggest trading one this off season? I don't disagree with maybe taking that chance, btw, but I'm not sure I understand this response.
doing what with Buxton, Hicks, Rosario? there is no financial implication to playing Joe less, they pay him if he plays, or doesn't play. The key is to play the best players......
then why do we read all the time that it is hard for a tall pitcher to repeat his delivery, and it takes longer for them to develop? There is a difference.
