  1. Driving thru Kansas is the best part of being in Kansas.
  2. I'm surprised they haven't filed a grievance, since it appears he was hurt in MN.
  3. Congrats on the call up! It is deserved. Also, clearly the secret to his success is spending time in Bend, OR, one of the most beautiful places on the planet. I hope the Twins are patient, and let him pitch up here for some time. On Gee.....this is what happens when you make zero moves to fix the SP in the off season, despite having the worst (or close to it) starting staff in MLB the previous year.
  4. fair, I meant to type at 37 or round 11 (or even rounds 5-10, imo). But, given how the game works, probably after round 8 or so....
  5. I'm liking this solely for the CAPS...I have no real preference about the content at all.
  6. I think the point was, they should have taken another top player at 37 or after Enlow. It was for me.
  7. Isn't that a given? The point was, they should be aiming to spend to the max, including the small penalty, to get another top player. No place were we discussing when to spend on whom, were we?
  8. Strongly concur. It's so much cheaper than the money they spend on bad MLB players.....
  9. I know this is off topic, but it possibly explains some things about both Wright and McKay that I had not considered: danny 2:13 Why are the Braves going far over slot value for Wright? Would he turn down the slot value at #5? (alternative question: Freeman to 3B? Really?) Keith Law 2:13 My guess? That was worked out beforehand, so that Wright would turn down underslot offers at picks 1-4 if any arose.
  10. this is the time people assured me promotions would occur. I remain hopeful.
  11. Well, I'd have him in AAA right now.....so we agree on that part for sure. It is, after all, the middle of the season, and he was good in AA last year.
  12. What special treatment? He's been suspended, and then he gets his job back. That's pretty much what happens in every industry. heck, in most, he's not even suspended at all....
  13. Gonsalves might "only" be a 4/5, but he's going to pitch in the majors, and he's going to do so for a long time (assuming health). to me, it's that low risk of not pitching at all that matters.
  14. I have no idea why anyone is talking about .300 in the majors, that just doesn't happen for almost anyone in 2017...... 29 qualified hitters are doing so right now. 25 did so last year.
  15. You think maybe the 87 Twins were an outlier, maybe?
  16. There aren't many good FA pitchers next year.....I would love to see them go big, but there aren't many choices next year.
  17. I don't see any reason to have Berrios come back out. That's exactly how/when Kintzler should be used. Good decision by Molitor.
  18. We disagree it would be rushing him, that's clear.
  19. then this is pretty much your pitching staff next year, plus a pretty mediocre FA......how will they win next year?
  20. if we don't think he can help in his first year, that is even MORE reason for him to pitch this year some...
  21. Wouldn't you rather have Gonsalves by then, if nothing else has been done?
  22. The number 1 overall pick can't even make this roster......
