  1. I love to visit both chicago and NYC. But then, I love being in the city sometimes. I love the action, and food, and the art, and the music. Of course, I also love hiking in the mountains and stuff. hence, Portland.....I can't even imagine living in a small town. Well, I can, but it doesn't sound fun for me.
  2. It's why I moved him down. He now has a surgery, and he's losing a year of playing time.
  3. It isn't working. Is anyone surprised it isn't working? Also, if they never add Slegers out of fear of losing him, uh, I don't get how keeping him around helps.
  4. Enlow being that low.......the Twins can't think that way, since they clearly liked him the best of all the day 2 guys, and bought him out of college.
  5. Agreed, skepticism is a good idea with prospects. I would bet we are pretty close on this one...
  6. good point, which is why I changed my post later.... It's definitely got few good prospects at AA and AAA, and is loaded with guys very low in the minors that we don't know enough about yet.
  7. I think our opinion on Rosario differs, he's a 4th OF, imo. I see both of those guys as similar roles to Rosario, just different skills that add up to around the same value.
  8. so, Grossman with better speed and defense? Like I said on another thread, Granite and Wade are the exact kind of prospects that are under valued across the league, that end up being legit MLB players (likely 4th OFers) for a long time, once given the chance.
  9. Granite and Wade are interesting, they have skills that are often under valued because they aren't loud skills. I have no idea if they can hit enough or not, but I find them much more interesting than Palka. I think weak was the wrong word. I'd say "not strong enough, considering how high they have been drafting". Both Stewart and Jay not being anything close to what they could be is killing them.
  10. How long does he need to dominate AA before moving up, in your opinion? I'm aggressive, I want guys moved up and challenged. Others are not.
  11. Ya, I can't have an injured RP in my top 10, no way. If Jay is top 10, this team is in serious trouble. Palka? Over rated because of his power, imo. Gordon Lewis Gonsalves Romero ... ... Kriiloff (this is all hope, no evidence) Meija Wade/Granite (they'll both play in the majors, imo, for some time, maybe not stars, but play) Diaz Rooker Enlow Garver After the top 4, I have little confidence there is a legit starter for sure. Still kind of a weak system, imo.
  12. No moving Wade to AAA? How old is he now? There is no reason Gordon should spend all of next year in the minors. That's about 180 degrees off how Houston or the Cubs would run their rosters.
  13. More resigned than accepting.
  14. Kohl Stewart has no trade value, does Cabbage? Archer is going to cost 1 great and 2 good prospects.
  15. In fairness, most of us wanted that when they really were rebuilding from scratch, and were criticized on this site then too..... Do people really think fans that post here all the time want the team in a perpetual rebuilding process? Really? Santana is 35, check out the long list of successful 35+ year old pitchers in history.....
  16. NO CHANCE this is enough. No way.
  17. I thought that tweet was updated to say to CR after starting out?
  18. I said it at the time, so not hindsight. And, it was about either going in, or not going in. They sat in the middle, as they usually do here. So, no, it had NOTHING to do with the overall finishing record for me. Not at all. But, thanks for putting words in my mouth that I never once said.
  19. Or they shouldn't go half in.....that was, imo, the problem. They made one tiny move, when 2-3 were needed. Going half in doesn't usually help all that much. IMO, you can't look at trades in a vacuum, but have to look at the whole context. IMO, in context, it was a bad trade.
  20. Pretty loaded in the system.
  21. That's certainly possible. There are always reasons for individual decisions, but eventually it is a pattern.
  22. CR is hardly aggressive either, and why can't he play OF at CR to start?
  23. Maybe that's part of the problem....not enough good players.
