  1. One year deal. If they are good, great! If they are bad, he's traded at the deadline for a decent prospect. One of the easier decisions of the off season.
  2. I really like Foundation, but damn, NOTHING HAPPENED in episode three at all. Those that were bored may not ever come back after that one.
  3. If he says he won't sign here, I trade him. No looking back at all.
  4. No incentives? Sign him. And hope he's healthy. If you'd trade him, for what? Not generically, but specifically. Would you then punt next year, and trade more? Those are reasonable decisions....just curiuos.
  5. Martin is your starting LF or CF (if Buxton is dealt) by May something. That means Miranda is likely not playing the LF at all. The Twins are flush with OF....I'd be really surprised if they all get hurt/stink, and Miranda plays out there. I doubt they deal Donaldson at this point, but if they do, Miranda is likely at 3B to open the year, imo. Most likely he's in AAA to start the year, and if someone gets hurt at 3B/2B/1B/DH, he might come up. I think he's traded, not that I would necessarily do that, btw.....but they NEED a veteran starting pitcher or two.....
  6. What? Jeffers is nearly top ten in home runs among catchers....I don't know what people expect out of first year players, but I don't see how anyone doesn't think he has a ton of value. He's going to put up over 1 war this year....
  7. A great list of players......probably as deep in potential starters as this system has been in some time. Health....next year we ant health.
  8. With certainty. Like most successful teams these days..... They just don't have the talent this year, with the injuries and trades, and lack of depth.
  9. We just finished season 1 of Shadow and Bone. I liked it. Not love.....like. The ensemble of characters is quite good and mostly believable, even if the heroine is annoying at times (and, frankly, isn't the most interesting character). Of course, it is season 1, and isn't a finished story at all. And, it is fantasy, so there are predictable moments if you've read much.....
  10. Or his lack of defense and position other than DH, which is what most people here are saying.....Where does he play next year? With Sano, Garver, Donaldson, Arraeaz, and Kiriloff and maybe Larnach (who is younger and can almost play OF) and maybe Martin or Lewis in the OF? Or Celestino? The issue is simple....they have a ton of bat first (only?) guys. There isn't room for all of them on the roster, esp. if you want Martin and/or Miranda up next year taking up LF and 3B.
  11. Pretty sure you can stream a cast recreation online. I started once, the production quality was not good. Back from decades ago and the BBC
  12. We just watched the first two late last night. It is very pretty. It is well written and acted. I really like it, but I'm guessing it is too much a thinker for the masses. And, neither my wife nor I seem to recall the books much, so we can't comment on the differences, other than obviously women play an actual role.
  13. Wade can play some defense. Rooker cannot. If he had any chance on defense, he'd start in left next year. But I think that is Gordon, Martin, Larnach, Celestino territory next year. I don't know where he plays much next year, assuming kiriloff is healthy at all ... Which seems like a big assumption.
  14. Glad I stopped caring..... Sorry to those that do
  15. I'm curious who you think is playing out of position.
  16. That's been my top complaint with the FO and the bullpen....going into every year with too many guys that can't be optioned. Rogers, Duffey, Alcala are locks unless Rogers is traded (which seems very unlikely). Thielbar is likely back, imo. After that? No real idea. I would 100% prefer Gant in the bullpen, but I think he's a starter. Really, I'd like 3-4 guys that are piggy back starters with each other, do those count as bullpen? Only Ober and Ryan s/b locks for the rotation, which is why I think Gant is not a RP to start the year, alas.
  17. 19th in fWAR among all right fielders, on a medium priced contract. If he hadn't been hurt this year, he'd be around 14th or so.....What do people want from a veteran on a reasonable deal?
  18. Polanco. Ryan and Ober. Alcala turning it around? Jeffers getting lots of time. Despite everyone here....Kepler will put up 2 fWAR. Donaldson.
  19. Number 1 is the off season decisions by the FO......almost none of them were right. From Simmons (the worst Twin by fWAR this year) to the pitchers they brought in, almost all the decisions didn't work. That's a big contrast from other years.......and not at all what any system projected. Hoping this off season is much, much, better.
  20. Regardless if Ryan is a 1 or a 4 (I'm guessing a 4 that pitches like a 3 often).....it looks like it might be a pretty good trade.....
  21. And yet, the stats don't bear that out. If it was, teams would be doing it....and they aren't.
  22. It isn't that easy. Really. If players could hit against the shift, they would. But all the data shows they can't.
  23. I did say sign a reclamation project.... I'm not sure any of these three fit that definition of you are trading for one though.
