  1. I don't think they misjudged last year. Their injury rate was insane, and the closer was awful at the beginning. Stuff happens.
  2. But you can't know that at the time. If you live in fear of making any moves, just find another job. Judging moves in hindsight is incredibly unfair to those making them.
  3. Every movie I recall seeing last year: https://mikesixel.com/2022-movie-reviews/
  4. The idea that if you trade a prospect that works out....you automatically lose the trade is silly. They got a good year from Gray. They are likely to get another. Even if Petty turns into a number 2/3....they got a good return that held much less risk than Petty.
  5. I guess they could have not made trades and punted last year, but why? No matter what this front office does, there will be an article ripping them for doing it.
  6. They also won't be starting Archer and Bundy all year. They are also much deeper when injury occurs than last year. Also, Farmer and Vazquez say hi
  7. I think the floor is 100% higher. The ceiling is about the same. It is all about health (and as in all sports, some luck).
  8. Larnach, in small sample sizes, has a TON of defensive runs saved. People on this site really need to look at the stats on him on other sites...... As for the OP, this isn't hard at all. Gallo in left, Buxton in Center, Kepler in right. Larnach at DH. Kiriloff at first. Celestino in AAA. Gordon on the bench. Taylor on the bench, but starting in right against lefties.
  9. Um, wut? I'm optimistic about this team, but other than SP, I don't see how they are better anywhere other than SS at this point. They might be.....but I don't know how anyone can say that with any certainty.
  10. I could not disagree with this post more if I tried. so much is factually wrong, let alone the opinions I disagree with.
  11. Nothing. But would you take that chance for a 2nd? How else do you expect to find a QB?
  12. Gallo is a gold glove defender in the OF. Who is your DH if Larnach and Kiriloff aren't on the roster? I really don't get this at all.
  13. I say leave him as a SP for a couple months. Heck, he could go to AA if needed....... They really are flush with options in AAA for a change. I think Henriquez needs to go to the BP, as he has the lowest upside of them all.....And Winder should be in the BP to start the year. If only there was an ACE you could deal three of these pitching prospects for (ya, I'd take that chance on losing depth for a proven ACE).
  14. Trey Lance for the Vikings 2024 second? Cheap for two years, franchise for two years. Do you take that chance? He sits next year to get healthy and learn the offense
  15. Because Arraez has been on the roster for a few years, and Lopez just got here? That might be it. Or, in a thread about Arraez, more people are taking about him than someone else?
  16. This gives celestino a year in the minors to progress. He's young.
  17. I'd prefer prospects, but I understand your position
  18. Sisk isn't all that, apparently. It's not like anyone selected or claimed him when they had a chance
  19. You might want to check out Mahle compared to all the other pitchers in baseball....I'm not sure why you are looking at the playoffs only, as that is not the definition of a number 3 starter. The point is to make the playoffs first....
  20. Fangraphs has him as a fifty grade SS, third on Minnesota's list. So I don't think we know just yet.
