  1. Just finished season three of Castlevania. It's a really good show.
  2. Saw him interviewed on local tv last night. He comes from a great academic school. Seems like a good young man. No idea how good he is.
  3. a hot stretch offsets 4 years of data?
  4. In looking at definite sellers, there is not one hitter that will be available that you'd want. At least I couldn't find one.
  5. I'd trade polanco as soon as anyone will take him, so Julien can stay in the lineup. Not necessarily because he's better, but because he's healthy. Polanco will just get hurt again.....I don't particularly care what I get for him at this point.
  6. Just watched Noble Meyer and Paul Wilson being interviewed....level headed in the interview for sure. Jesuit is in the same conference as the HS I helped coach golf at this spring. It's a very scholastic place....
  7. I'd like to see Severino or Lee in St Paul given Miranda isn't going to be there for some time, with schoebel moved up.
  8. Because you aren't cutting him, and Camargo might be better right now. That was me..... Backup at catcher and first, of I want clear....
  9. What are you doing with Vazquez? No one is trading for him, and you aren't DFAing him after three months. I'd deal Castro because he's never been this good and might have value. Gordon doesn't. It's not an infatuation....trust me. I wanted Trea Turner.... Miranda is up for at least 6 weeks, unless he falls on his face. Lewis is likely out that long.
  10. I think that's a fair take, though I have zero interest in trading anything of value for a RH bat. I could be persuaded to deal Larnach for one that had 1.5 years of control, but who's doing that on the other side?
  11. Thanks! I'd prefer him over Jansen for sure, and Clase and Cano (though for this year, Cano deserves a spot for sure).
  12. They aren't winning the WS with THIS OF....and all of them are gone after this year. They 100% need to figure out if any of the guys in AA or AAA are realistic options (or at least gather more data on them). And, I'm answering so others can see where I'm coming from, not arguing with you at all.
  13. I'd sell Gray if they can get a top 50 prospect and another guy for him. I may or may not deal Maeda, most likely I do. That, of course, destroys the rotation, so I maybe don't. This team can still win a playoff series if they get two OFers that can hit....so it is possible I just keep both these guys, but I 100% do the next line. I'd DFA Kepler, trade Gallo and Taylor, and see what the young OFers can do. Gotta figure that out for next year. I'd IL Buxton until he can play the field, but I'd consider not doing that. He's actually a slightly above average hitter right now. I'd call up Williams or Camargo to play C opposite Jeffers and use Vazquez as a backup at C and first. If all three OFers go, I call up Larnach, Celestino and Wallner to play the OF. IF Gordon comes back before the deadline, I deal Castro if I can get a 45 value prospect. If not, I keep him.
  14. It's hard to argue there is a total system failure when they have a .500 record, having played mostly NOT their weak divisional foes so far. To be clear, it isn't an acceptable level of success, IMO, but it isn't a total system failure. They also have the 11th rated farm system, and are about to add three top picks to that. The system was MUCH worse when they took over.
  15. I'm waiting until I'm really happy, so I can bear the pain they go thru over and over.
  16. Gallo and Kepler should maybe be backups, or DFA'd. Just because they are on the roster doesn't mean they should be. Taylor 100% should be a backup. Castro? Utilty backup. Buxton clearly can't play the OF right now. I mean, I don't know how anyone can argue those are starters and they have lots of depth. They have a lot of players, but that doesn't mean they have good players......And no, no one is trading for Gallo or Kepler or taylor, not more than a PTBNL or cash considerations. Contreras isn't a MLB player.
  17. Rooker has not been good since April. Every team needs a representative....
  18. The lack of analysis here leads me to believe he wasn't snubbed at all.
  19. Sabato and Cavaco help answer that for sure....... And Rooker. But you're right, we don't know
  20. Trading is part of development, if you trade guys in your farm for legit assets. Tampa and Cleveland do this often, two teams everyone here compares them to.
  21. I'm not sure Teel is a reach, exactly. He's what, 7th rated? Higher than Lowder.... I'm taking Clark if he's there. If not, assuming the three top college guys are there, I go with Teel, Dollander, or Lowder.
