  1. My thought too....
  2. I'd rather keep Castro over Gordon also, but it's not like Castro is here long term..... And he likely has value. Buxton? Definitely scorching the ball right now. What to do with Julien when polanco returns? It's a small consideration. I'd trade Kepler faster than Buxton can run..... I understand the arguments for keeping Gray and Maeda.... And won't be annoyed if they do. But there are so many buyers, and so few sellers, I don't be annoyed if they get great prospects back. The biggest issue for me is the hesitancy in the OF, and now third base. They just refuse to see the years of data from the OFers.....
  3. The really bad teams have so little I'd want..... At least that would be available.
  4. Kind of early to say. They won last year, lost this year.
  5. Sure, but we are talking about a gig until Lewis returns. What would you do? I'm assuming not Miranda?
  6. Julien at third? No way. Polanco would be better there. I think it will be Castro, with Miranda back in AAA, with Severino sitting in AA wasting a chance to see what he's got
  7. Just finished season three of Castlevania. It's a really good show.
  8. And one of their best young hitters, in Julien?
  9. That thought did occur to me.... But I assume they get tested regularly?
  10. I was never a true believer, but even I'm surprised at this. I'd consider moving Severino to AAA and seeing what he's got. As for the short term? I think I give Miranda two more weeks, and if he's not getting better, I likely call up Severino or Lee.
  11. Saw him interviewed on local tv last night. He comes from a great academic school. Seems like a good young man. No idea how good he is.
  12. two fooled hitters, two hits. And I'm told there is no such thing as luck....
  13. a hot stretch offsets 4 years of data?
  14. In looking at definite sellers, there is not one hitter that will be available that you'd want. At least I couldn't find one.
  15. Did Miranda get hurt, or replaced for other reasons? Was on a walk....
  16. Grooving pitch after pitch to Vazquez. I don't think our C can hit....
  17. Painful to watch this KC pitcher just lose it. And he's just going to stay out there....
  18. I appear to have been wrong about Maeda moving to two inning RP. He's been great so far as a starter. Really impressive.
  19. Maeda clearly doesn't want Jeffers. I would prefer Julien play nearly every day.... Sunny and hot here in Portland today. Pretty sure I should take my walk ASAP.....
  20. IIRC, they don't charge much for taking a beer from your fridge. As for the topic, I'm a little surprised.
  21. I'd trade polanco as soon as anyone will take him, so Julien can stay in the lineup. Not necessarily because he's better, but because he's healthy. Polanco will just get hurt again.....I don't particularly care what I get for him at this point.
  22. Just watched Noble Meyer and Paul Wilson being interviewed....level headed in the interview for sure. Jesuit is in the same conference as the HS I helped coach golf at this spring. It's a very scholastic place....
  23. Five run lead.... That's when you use pagan, if he's on the roster
